The rooms are a great size, comfy beds, nice and clean. The staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is much higher quality than you usually get from hotels. The view is great and if you get a room on the west side the XX01-08 rooms especially on high floors you don’t hear the trains. Great location, so easy to get anywhere from north Sydney station.nnThe rooms yes are a little 90s style but for all the positives it’s easy to look past.
A typical good hotel experience. Nothing super fancy, just the normal expectation for a hotel, but they do it very well. The room clean and tidy, and had all the essentials. The staff were very lovely, ran into a few, and all of them were very polite and helpful.nnBest of all, you can in fact view the harbour bridge from the View. It seems at least from our floor, that all the rooms are built so they will be able to see the bridge, no matter which room you have.nnAs a note though, the underground train line does start right under this building, and therefore you can hear and feel a slight shudder as the train passes underneath, nothing bothering though. It's not really something that they can 'improve' upon though so I didn't see a need to include it in the star ratings, just as a general note.
Perfect location to public transport with beautiful views. I recommend the breakfast being included. They forgot to top up our toilet paper and soap, though we should have asked. The rumbling of the trains was like white noise, I didn’t mind it and actually helped me to go to sleep
The room itself was a good size, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. The view was fabulous, especially overlooking the Harbour Bridge — definitely the highlight of the stay.nUnfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly end. When we arrived and opened the door, the first impression was disappointing. The interior felt outdated and not very clean, especially the carpet, which really needs attention. It wasn’t a great start.nThe staff were polite and professional, but very “by the book” — correct, yet not particularly warm or welcoming.nThe location is very good, close to North Sydney Station and Victoria Cross metro station, which makes getting around easy. However, the windows are only single-glazed, so you can clearly hear trains passing by throughout the night, which affected the overall comfort.nIn summary, great view and convenient location, but the hotel feels tired and could benefit from a serious refresh.
Terrific - this is a great hotel to stay at. The Staff are very professional and courteous; the Service is first rate; with spacious rooms available at differing price points. and the views across the Harbour to Sydney city are amazing. North Sydney shops etc are OK I guess, but that is not a problem since the hotel is only a 2-minute train ride into the CBD. Well done.
