Pros:nClean, neat and modern. The staff are friendly. Great location.nnCons:nPoor lighting. Very dim, especially in the kitchenette and bathroom.nThe climate control turns off when you leave, so you come back to a too hot/too cold room if you duck out for dinner.nThe doors slam shut loudly.nNot the worst problems to have.nnThe main contributor to my rating and why I won't stay here again:nThe pillows are super thick and very hard. I asked for a softer pillow and was very politely informed that it was a common complaint but they did not have any other pillows. This shows the issue is known, and is not being addressed. A smaller range of useful pillows would be far more beneficial than the ~6 different decorative pillows in the room.
The whole experience at this hotel was wonderful. The rooms are quiet, modern and clean. The staff that I spoke to were all really friendly. Tomar at reception was especially helpful with an early check in and late check out. I would absolutely stay here on any future trips to Sydney!
We stayed here for 3 nights for Sydney marathon. The hotel looks new and the decor is nice. Staff at the front desk are friendly and helpful. The location is great for Sydney marathon. The cons that made me hesitant to stay here again are the cleanliness. The room was quite dusty and it’s visible even though it’s quite dim in the room. On day 2 and 3, we put on the indicator outside the room specifically asking for cleaning but no cleaning was done either day. Very disappointing!
So many things I liked about Citadines. Love the concrete & black colour scheme. Appreciated the well-appointed gym; the proximity to 2 supermarkets was really helpful, along with being only a short walk to the harbour. Also in close proximity is a fairly decent sized shopping centre. Lastly - the coffee / food within the hotel restaurant was above expectations
We booked via luxury escapes and were a little unsure about staying in North Sydney, but it couldn’t have been easier! The hotel is beautiful, clean, modern it feels as new as the day it opened, plus the staff were always friendly and helpful.nnI agree that the rooms were a little dark and a lack of power outlets in the bathroom was a pain but the cons were well outweighed by pros.nnThe price and experience is well worth staying a little further from the CBD. We’ll definitely be back.
