My honest experience as a UTS business student after first semester!nnI've been inside UNSW, USYD, not studied but visited.nI like UTS more for two reasons. I noticed that UTS toilets are always maintained hygienically.nEspecially Building 2 and 11. I thought it was normal until I stepped into other two unis when visiting my friends, it was so dirty, smells bad, very old toilets that barely functions.nUTS also has pretty easy accessible commute.nnI can't deny how much support I received as a first year, UTS offers HELPS, UPASS. Made for students who struggle with keeping up with study content. tutors basically untangle the hard subjects for you. available weekly.nFor business, I was very happy that all professors introduced drop in session at the beginning of the semester and It was immense help during the week before final exams.nUTS also provides 1 and half to 2 months semester breaks?? I'm in my break right now and I never felt more rested and turns out we have the longer break than USYD and UNSW.nnBest thing about UTS is our silent reading room in building 2nTHANK YOU TO WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THE IDEAnwhen I walk into the quietest room I've ever been in my life, where the footsteps are the loudest thing, I can conquer any tasks. I can tell everyone's focus is at its peak.nEven my friends from other unis come here to study.nnthese are some of the more helpful things I found UTS providesnn- microwaves in almost every building to heat up your foodn- hot and cold water taps every floorn- a lot of vending machine with real quick foodn- free flu shots for students and emails notifying students ahead.n- $5 meal from Terrace Cafe for students that changes every week for students who wants to eat healthy but is financially struggling.n- science and math drop in classroom for anyone who needs more help.n- clear orientation day that tells you everything you need highly recommended attending itn- professors follow up promptly with your email regarding your concerns.n- AI invigilated exams was a breeze to do at home, professors told us step by step and even what to do when it goes wrong.n- big campus but with every corner, chairs and desks to study that you can pretty much meet anywhere than libraryn- more than 100 group and individual booking rooms that you can easily book to study with your friends with noise canceling wallsnneasy to find classes once you know your way around, professors are generally teach in a way to create engagement in class,nnSMART, FRIENDLY fellow classmates who actually helps you and is motivated to do well so you end up doing the work.n If you choose them wisely, but they are always somewherenI recommend studying Business or any course in UTS confidently to anyone who is interested! I've done half of my core but subjects are very practical, onboard and relevant.nYou will get the love the clean, supportive and pretty place you study in. I started with no expectation after so much research day and night and Im so impressed that I get to go here.nnThe only downside of UTS has to benlate night classes7pm to 9pm but thats only if you miss the timetable deadline.nnUTS IS A UNIVERSITY THAT IF YOU SEEK FOR HELP,nTHEY WILL PROVIDE MORE THAN ENOUGH OF WHAT YOU NEED ALL YOU GOTTA DO IS ASK. I love being a UTS student.
The University of Technology has modern facilities and sufficient student support. Many lounge rooms and tea rooms can be found in the faculty buildings. The Ultimo campus is within walking distance of the Central train station and plenty of shopping and dining options. It's also a short bus ride to the University of Sydney campus. My empirical experience is that the courses of UTS are well and practically designed.
The best University in the world, My partner has been graduated from UTS as an masters in mechanical engineering and project management. Proud moments best infrastructure and great facilities along with great faculties.
I studied engineering here many years ago and was an excellent experience. Many high quality lecturers, facilities and great structure to the degree. I recently returned for a conference and was blown away with the change in buildings and amenities for staff, students and visitors. If you are in the area it is worth just having a walk around to take in the architecture, public spaces and even some of the food options.
I'm living in Melbourne and just heard the news that UTS will sack hundreds of University staff.nThis is not right.nThis is unprofessional and unethical.nIt sounds like to me this university is really dodgy and untrustworthy.nAs a fellow Australian suggest to boycott this university altogether
