Twin Coast Adventures is a fantastic, family-run accommodation & we couldn't fault our stay. The rooms have been recently renovated to a fabulous standard - spotlessly clean, fresh-smelling & very inviting. The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms well appointed and the motel was quiet and relaxing.nThe location is perfect, with shops & amenities only a short walk away, plus the added bonus of onsite secure parking forbpeace of mind. The accommodation also represents excellent value for money!nnThe staff were very friendly and the hosts, Shane and Tina, truly stood out - professional, welcoming & incredibly knowledgeable about Northland & the Twin Coast Cycle Trail. We throughly enjoyed our stay & loved discovering that the property is in a prime location, right in the middle of the Twin Coast Cyle Trail. On our next visit, we'll definitely be hiring bikes, & the onsite shuttle service will be a huge bonus when we tackle the trail.nnHighly recommend this motel, not just for the obvious reasons above but especially for the hosts. Shane and Tina genuinely made our stay special.
Highly recommend! Loved the experience. Beautiful scenery. Easy ride on eBikes. Five Aucklanders of various fitness levels, we throughly enjoyed ourselves. eBikes were excellent. Tina was a fabulous host. The renovated accommodation is clean & new. New World close by. Dinner in Paihia was beautiful by the water, as not many local options. Best local cafe is Ihalaam closed Sundays. Best find was cafe in Okahau with home baking, great coffee & a huge dog! We will be back!
We stayed at the motel for 3 nights and hired bikes to ride the Twin Coast Cycle Trail with friends who had their own motor home. We had an excellent time and rate Tina and Shane very highly in all aspects of their operation. The accommodation, bike hire, shuttle service were first rate. Tina and Shanes friendlyness and willingness to help was the icing on the cake.nWe rode the trail over 2 days, East first day, West the second.nHighly recommendednDebbie and John, North Shore.
Wow!nWhat a beautiful place. We were in town for a tangi, and booked in to Twin Coast overnight. The hosts are awesome people, so friendly and happy to have a chinwag and the rooms are beyond immaculate.nI've stayed in motels right across NZ, and this is by far one of the best I've ever stayed in. The beds are super comfortable, we had a TV in each bedroom and one in the lounge and woke up to a beautiful sunny day despite all of the rain we'd had coming up from Auckland.nIf you've ever stayed anywhere immaculate, this place will top that hands down.nnI would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the motel to anyone - it caters for everything you need and much more.nMy only regret is that I can't give them more than 5 stars as 5 is the highest that Google will let you go...nnSo if you're in Kaikohe and you need somewhere comfortable and extremely well presented, this should be your first choice, hands down.
Tina was such a great host, she made us feel at home right away. Provided valuable advice and support for our 2 days of riding. The bikes are in excellent condition, we rode both the electric and non-electric ones. When things changed for us, Tina ensured were we looked after. The motel rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable after the long ride. The town itself is great, will surely visit again. Thanks Tina.
