It was a bad experience, we had Thai food in Wellington a couple of times and it wasn't worth the price. The waiter was rude, pushing higher margin dishes. she came and took away our dishes before we finished eating. The tori is a semi-finished product bought at the supermarket. In addition, the price at the checkout was inconsistent with the menu price, the difference was about 10 dollars, because they did not give us the receipt details, we found this problem after going out, and we did not bother to go back and ask. Won't come again.
Their tofu skewers are amazing.nI would have liked if the roti was a bit more crispy on the edges. But their satay sauce is 100/10.
On collection of our takeaway order I noticed it was a small bag to fulfill our order of 3 meals, including 2 rice & 1 roti. Then I got hit with the price . . . $87.72?! Substantially dearer to what we normally pay at one of our 4 favourite Thai restaurants in the Welly CBD, and wider region. In summary I paid $28 more than I normally would. Plus the others all serve up much larger quantities we have left overs for the next day. The meal was nice enough but definitely not justifiable to:n1. Be substantially dearer than Welly CBD prices and 2. A much smaller serving size. I wonder if this is why the restaurant was so quiet tonight
Dined at Tuk Tuk in Porirua and was completely taken by their delightful Thai dishes. Every meal was bursting with authentic flavors. The staff were quick, efficient, and accommodating. The decor beautifully complements the dining experience, and it's no surprise the place was bustling with customers. Truly a gem in Porirua for Thai food enthusiasts.
The service can more better! My friend she order the green curry chicken and she didn’t order with roti, The waiter heard wrong and added the roti to us. Then another waiter said: the roti was $4, but when we checked out, we paid f$5. We were very confused about this matter, and we asked them why, but they couldn't explain it. It's just perfunctory. I don't like such a service attitude!!! I don't care about these dollars. I care more about the way their employees solve this matter.nnBut they get the nice foodsnnAll the best!!!
