Last two visits to Whitby Chinese Takeaway have been very disappointing. Their food lacks flavor, meat or vegetables. Get a noodle dish, you basically just get the cheap part... it's ALL noodles. Same goes for rice dishes... it's nothing but rice. The food quality at Whitby Chinese Takeaway is appalling! It's a real shame because it was good once.
Worst Chinese takeaway we have ever had. Nasi gorang was tasteless with zero flavour let alone hot and spicy as it should be. Literally tasted like fried rice with a splash of soy sauce. Will never go there againFood: 1/5
Was very surprised to see there prices increased Ordered sweet&sour pork the meat was soo small with heaps of onion more onion than meat. Combination fried rice,lots of onions very little meat with no vegetables in it at all. Disappointed wouldn't return,just wasted $45.
Normally have beautiful fish and chips. This time terrible hopefully a one off experience as Normally great
Not the best chinese food i have ever had. Overloaded with cabbage to bulk out the meals. Wont visit again.Food: 2/5
Service was polite and quick, the wait time was short. I noted a lot of pick ups happening, so locals must do phone ordering. We ordered combination chow mein, I skipped the broccoli, which they added cabbage and had extra meat extra $5.50. A good size meal was had, even had enough for dinner the following night. Might just have to go back to try some of their other dishes.
I ordered Tarakihi fish fillets. Was charged for Tarakihi. Got shark fillets instead. To make matters worse the fish was greasy and not at all fresh. The Chinese food is not great either. Not going back
Mmmmmm. We've been here a couple of times since moving in. So far the won-tons and noodles have been big hits with the adults. Useful that they also do fish and chips that the kids love. Quick and friendly service with orders taken over the phone. Easy parking outside No credit cards though so prepare for that. Also - don't get the industrial strength turmeric on your new white work shirt.
Quantity Vs price is well out of balance. Quality is average but inconsistent but they definitely capitalize on the fact they are the only Chinese takeaway in Whitby. Cannon Creek is of better quality consistently with bigger portions and considerably cheaper on everything across the menu.
Visited around 7pm on a Friday night. No queue to order, meal was prepared in about 5 minutes. Chips were very good, I sampled the fish too which was nice. Hawaiian burger fell apart when eating, too much mayonnaise and tomato sauce.
