Food was poor quality: fish cakes were dry; prawns weren't cleaned properly, still tasting of the sea; the "seafood" pad thai consisted of prawns and 2 rubber calamari. We still paid $50 for the meal. We asked for a high chair, which arrived looking very dirty but were told it was clean. Although the older hostess was very pleasant, the younger one blatently ignored our calls 4 times. She literally looked right at us waving and then looked away. Really do not recommend.

Good service, atmosphere and reasonable prices. Spacious too. Coconut rice is too sweet and was bit hard to combine with some other dishes.

Food was ok, a bit too sweet. Prices on website for take away are lower than we paid, when i asked; "we are not able to change it".

We turned up to Torquay Thai with no reservation, but the staff were welcoming and quickly found us a seat despite the restaurant being close to full. The food was delightful and the meals were well portioned, we found that 4 meals with rice were enough for the five of us. The atmosphere was wonderful, absolutely loved the set-up, felt homely and captured the Thai culture. I would certainly return to Torquay Thai, very well done.
