The beer at the pub was really good, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. However, it took more than an hour for our meals a chicken parma and a chicken burger to arrive, even though the place wasn’t very busy. The food itself was tasty, but the long wait was disappointing.nnI felt bad for the waitstaff, who were doing their best, but it would have helped if they had told us about the delay beforehand. Overall, good drinks and decent food, but the service time really affected the experience.

Cider girlies and seltzer kings, you’re covered too.nnThe food?nMostly Mexican-style dishes with a solid lineup of wood-fired pizzas.nIt’s good — keep you happily snacking between beers.nnThe vibe though?nElite.nCasual, relaxed, everyone’s welcome. Friends, families, couples, babies in tiny bucket hats — there’s space for everyone.nBig indoor and outdoor areas, chill music, and a crowd that feels more “Torquay locals”nnLive music was playing when I went — such a nice touch.nnThe staff?nLaid-back friendly team. Quick service.nnBottom line:nBlackman’s Torquay is a place you come to relax, laugh too loudly, sip something nice, and forget about your to-do list for a bit.
The brewery looked dark from the outside and we almost didn’t enter, but I’m very glad we did!nnWe sampled 6 beers in the tasting paddle and several were among the best of their kind we have ever tried! The ginger beer and cider are also amazing!nnIt is a very family friendly environment with a mini golf course attached and a sandpit outside for young children and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.nnWe had lunch here having nachos and the chicken burrito bowl, both being very delicious too. I’m glad we walked to this side of town and ate here!
Tasty food. Super friendly staff and lots of indoor and outdoor sitting to suit your needs. Lovely beer too of course!
A wonderful place for a refreshment at the start of The Great Ocean Road.....And of course another of our brewery visits.nnThe staff was lovely and welcoming and the whole brewery had a fun feel.nnWe visited on a quiet Thursday lunch and I was driving so a small bevy for me. But the Pilzner was lovely. But we'd had Blackman's Brewery brews elsewhere and they are super tasty.
