Top of the Hill

The most amazing experience. Best staff and best owner, nothing but kindness and warmth with the best interest of the customer. I had my birthday here as part of the bottomless brunch and could’ve have expected better quality or atmosphere, they truly look after you.

I've been coming to this cafe as my local for almost 2 years now. Top Of The Hill is actually the farthest cafe away from my home though in my area, so why not go to a closer venue Ryan? Well because nothing is like TotH... Out of the other 25+ morning spots I once tried to make my haunt, the warmth of the staff and the sensation of community at TotH trumps all others. TotH is helmed by one person a day who masterfully manages the production of scrumptious coffee and holds space for a smörgåsbord of different walks of life; an important but rare multi-skill for a successful barista and cafe. I decided to write this review in counter of another reviewer Scott who was catastrophising not being the centre of attention. With everything in life, you get out what you put in... Scott, don't be a wet blanket, wait a minute, show courtesy to other customers and maybe you too could be a friend of TotH :

Generally pretty good, let down the last couple of times by the service for example the barista this morning being more focused on blatantly prioritising her friends & having a chat about Yah Yah's moving location than serving waiting customers.

I had a perfect flat white and a delicious chicken and avocado sandwich served with a big smile. Would definitely return.

best bottomless brunch! can't recommend this place enough, Adam was so lovely and made every effort to ensure we had a great time! the space is lovely and sunny and the cocktails and service was 11/10, will definitely be back! thank you!

Oh my word do I adore Top of the Hill! The design is unique, the service is friendly/welcoming and the coffee is exceptional + the pastries and sandwiches are always fresh which is delightful. This is now my new favourite 'to-go' cafe in Northcote... I'm blessed to live two blocks away. Welcome to the neighbourhood!

I want to keep this place all to myself. Therefore, delighted to inform you: this place is the gold hoop earrings of bottomless brunch spots. She is a fuggely sl*t. Worst bottomless brunch ever. Don’t come here
