I’ve been to this cafe a few times and they’re usually quite full- despite this the service and wait time is acceptable and the staff are welcoming and prompt. The coffee here is a great blend and goes well with the meals. Speaking of, the food here does not disappoint and has great flavour combinations and consistency regardless of time and busyness. The pricing is quite fair in my opinion and the staff make each visit feel welcoming. The atmosphere is upbeat and allows ample time to chat and enjoy your food. Definitely one of the better cafes on High street
great spot for brunch! dishes have a delicate flavour palate; simple, clean, and full of flavour! these guys are known for their panna cotta so make sure you order this on your visit! the salmon and hash was... apparently trout it was still super tasty nonetheless there's a good amount of seating indoors and a few extra spots outdoors at the back - very cute setting but has no shelter no good for rainy days just note that there are weekend surcharge
I recently visited them and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. The food was okay. It was a nice change to be able to dine out on New Year's Day as most other places were closed. Overall, it was a decent dining experience.
Tinker was a beautiful modern cafe in Northcote. Similar to its sister cafe, Penta, Tinker was also famous for their pretty panna cotta; saffron and mango panna cotta, which we ordered alongside the waffle eggs benedict. I loved the panna cotta; the saffron flavour really stood out with a nice silky texture and fresh fruits and crunchy granola. The waffle egg benedict was pretty good too; the cornbread waffle was a bit too thick for my liking, but the sweet potato crisps gave a nice texture to the fluffy waffle and creamy eggs. Coffee was great, service was friendly, and the venue was clean and cosy.
Golden Gay Time Pancakes were AMAZING, extraordinary chocolate syrup and honeycomb crumble for the win! Recommend Donburi bowl for the more health conscious!Recommended dishesGolden Gaytime Hotcakes, Gaytime Hot Cakes
Really enjoyed our brunch. The corn waffles were really yummy, and the eggs were silky and layered in the chilli scramble. Coffee was good too!
Found this gem as my airbnb was in Northcote. Had brunch with mates and was one of the best meals I’ve had in Melbourne. Plenty of room to sit. Coffee was amazing, we had chilli scrambled eggs and peas on toast. All items were presentable, great quantity and very delicious!
Good food, nice coffee and friendly services, just the portions were bit small. Otherwise all good.
Northcote gem, Tinker it is. Always go-to brunch place in the burb. The waffle benedicts are always delicous - the texture was crispy on the outside and firm yet soft inside. Both beef and mushroom choices are tasty. They offer quite a range of vegetarian/vegan options. Smoothies are always on point. Iced chai + lemon is new and fun to sip!
Loved the coffee and the food here. The Waffles Benedict is a winner and so are the Chilli Scrambled Eggs. Love the creativity in the cornbread/cheddar waffle and the flawless execution in the perfectly textured scrambled eggs. Highly recommended!
