Couldn’t leave my park today! Parked in the disability parking on Level 3A with my partner and when we exited the shopping centre we found we were blocked in. A Ute parked with the engine still running and a massive trailer, presumably for trolleys, has parked outside the loading zone not in it and blocked up the accessible parks. I called security and before they could arrive the 2 men came back, said not a word to my partner standing with his cane and leisurely got in the car and started to drive off. Once security had arrived I was met with “was it the trolley guys?” Which tells me this is not a new thing and is a regular occurrence. NOT GOOD ENOUGH. I hope submitting these photos can make something ACTUALLY BE DONE.
Their rubbish paper bags aside, I understand that technology is advancing, but expecting customers to do the job of a trained cashier — with no added benefit like discounts or faster service — just feels lazy and honestly disrespectful. Not everyone wants to scan their own groceries after a long day, especially when something inevitably goes wrong and there’s no one around. And when you do need help, you have to chase someone down just to get basic assistance. This isn’t convenience — it’s cost-cutting at the customer’s expense.
Amazing work on revamping the mall! Well structured and loads of all essential shops as well as some for quality products which is fantastic nVery wheelchair accessible just use the elevators not the escalators as they criss-cross all over the place like the moving staircase in Harry Potter.. which is nice to look at, very different design which has its own unique charm. Hats off
Shopping mall in the Toowong area. The mall has a ticketless parking system, vehicles are not required to stop as tickets are not issued. Free parking for up to 3 hours.Toowong Train Station is located within the centre with the entry/exit accessible via Gallery Level. Major stores within the shopping mall include TK Max, Kmart, Coles, Woolworths, Specsavers, number of Bank branches, Restaurants to choose from.
The Toowong Village is definitely one of the most convenient shopping malls in Brisbane, especially after Woolies joined in. It is not a big mall compared to other giant malls like Indooroopilly and Garden City, but that is its advantage. Its size is perfect so you won't get lost inside and it is more efficient to get to the shops, especially those markets like Coles on the ground floor, Woolies on the first floor, and Kmart on the second floor. They have a lot of parking areas as it is also linked to the train station and a high-rise office building. But it is also very pedestrian-friendly to access this mall. The restaurants in this mall have fierce competition. Every year, you can see some old restaurants shut down and new ones open. I can still remember many years ago they had a McDonald's here. It would be perfect if they could reopen a fast-food chain like Maccas and KFC. Also, they only have one public toilet on the ground floor, so if you stay in Toowong Library on the second floor, you still have to take a lift to go down to the ground floor.
