Kmart Toowong

What would otherwise have been a regular and even enjoyable trip was ruined by prematurely engaged brakes on the trolley. I was simply trying to get to my car when the brake engaged on the lower level of the escalators, causing my trolley to turn sideways at the bottom of the ramp. This nearly caused both myself and two people behind me to fall over the trolley at the bottom of the escalator. These trolleys need to have a wider circle in which the brakes are deactivated for safety purposes. They also need to be able to have these brakes be disabled once you return into the field.

Value for money KMart, everything here seems to be affordable for people on budget but need to buy necessary stuff for short stay.

Great place, wide range of choices, cheaper price. Love it.

Went in the other night at around 8pm and the team working were absolutely hustling. Love to see them working well. Also they have great stock of all the random Kmart bits and bobs I love so overall great experience. Super friendly and happy too.

My daughter and I just had the worst customer service experience at kmart Toowong. The blonde short haired middle aged woman who appears to be running the checkout ”service” area who I unfortunately didn’t get her name needs to go back to customer service school for basic manners, pronto! When asking for assistance about an item that wouldn’t scan she clearly showed she was annoyed to leave the counter and then waddled over with air of rudeness and general lack of care and then aggressively said “wha doya want?!”she then grunted and seemed unable to open her mouth and communicate like a normal human. She then aggressively jabbed at the scanning machine with a few more grunts, along with an healthy amount of eye rolling and sighing. Strangely, the store wasn’t that full maybe because of the customer service?. There were no cues and absolutely no reason for her rude behaviour. Kmart Toowong you may want to consider retraining your staff in basic customer service skills and a few manners. Very disappointing indeed.

Kmart Toowong is a great place to go when in need of something small or something big. The staff are always willing to help out with any troubles. Returning items is easy and quick, you will either receive a full refund or in store refund to use it and buy something of the same value. Quality is not always the best but lasts for the time it is needed for. Would definitely recommend as a place to buy birthday present for children, clothing, toys, or anything really in general.

Weirdly dim lighting and whole store has an off vibe. The service counter doesn’t have space to line up and is barely staffed. Huge wait to see anyone for a click and collect order. I had to drop in to Toowong for an item I needed two of because that there was only one of at this store and another one at Indooroopilly Kmart - after visiting both stores in the same day, honestly can say you’re better off making the extra trip to go to the Indro one unless you absolutely have to.

Horrible experience. Staff are haughty, disengaged and inflexible. Older staff seem to bully younger staff into doing their work while they stand around chatting. Older staff member thinks a HDMI to USB C cable would not be categorised as “computer cables”. No theft-magnet disabling equipment for purchases, so I now I set off anti theft while shopping at other stores on the same trip. “Receipt check” is in fact a bag search and actually illegal - door staff are rude and aggressive. Stock check is woeful and inaccurate 1 item on shelves when inventory gun says should be 3, shelves are messy and dirty. The checkout manager appears disinterested and blames customer for not pressing a capacitive self-checkout touch screen “hard” enough when clearly machine is laggy and non-responsive. The store is not logically laid out and a mess. Dirty dusty shelves and products.

I really like this Kmart. Wish it was 24 hours!! However has a great selection of products and I especially recommend the pet section, have found many treasures for my pup from here.

kmart is crushing it in the cheap homewares department. it's my go to whenever I need new garden pots or planters. the checkout is in the middle of the store. staff were helpful too. easy free parking in the complex however there is a time limit.
