My colleague and I were working in the area and decided to get out and about on Swanston St whilst the sun was out. We'd walked past Toothpicks on a few occasion and figured Wednesday give it a shot. A nice open plan interior with large glass display cabinets and seating available, lots of options were available. We ordered some coffees and opted to sit outside in the sun. Staff were pleasant and accommodating, it's a great location to sit and watch the foot traffic on a sunny day.
Nice food and service But a tad expensive when you get half a slice of tomato and half a slice of cheese! Toastie was half empty!
I only had coffee, but the service was fantastic.Food: 4/5
I'd rate this place higher if I could! Friendly staff and great coffee/food.

25 mins to make a egg and bacon sandwich and to make it worse who makes it with scrambled eggs and heats it up in a grill,a soggy disgusting mess it was ,would not recommend this place at all ,a friend ordered pasta and that ended up only having one mouthful and then sent to the bin
Exceptional as usual. Friendly service, good food, Well served. Egg and bacon roll and pot of tea. Delicious.
