Not a good quality experience I had from Tony Tyres Lowerhutt. On 3rd August, I gave up my car for express plus service. I don't know what they have done, but after that the car started giving me problems. The car battery got flat 3 times in a row. Before servicing, it was working fine. I never had any problem with the battery. When I went there, they said they didn't have enough staff. Come on 8th August. Also, I told them to do headlamps polish. But they haven't done as well. My question is what if my battery gets flat again? I have to go to work every day. Why are the mechanics not solving the issue?
Provided the runflat Tyre I required within 24 hours which was great. Service was a bit weird and bland, but it was 7.30am so I feel you. Had all four wheels re-balanced while I was there, unfortunately Tyre pressure sensor wasn't reset which put the car into limp home mode after collecting the vehicle, easy side of the road reset but would be a nice touch if a Tyre company would reset it on a modern vehicle when fitting a run flat. Easy 3.5/4 out of 5
The person I dealt with was pleasant to begin with all smiles and even told me I had a nice car and my tire would fail a wof which I knew but I appreciate the advice,I came in to get nitrogen in all four tyres and I thought he could tell my my caps they were black not blue on my car that they were only air and he made no effort to ask if they are air and he assumed it was a top up which was a miscommunication on both of our parts. but when asked of my friends who's gotten it recently he said they are meant to drain it of air and on my last car they drained it, so I headed back and asked and they guy was all grumpy and had a massive attitude,which I think is very unprofessional.although they are fast/efficient they really need a better attitude and need to ask for more detail and not assume.
Booked in a specific time taking time off from work to get the alignment done and they couldn't do it because the worker was sick. No one called me to give me a heads up. Was going to do balance as well but they wanted to keep the car for 3 HOURS. What's the point to book an appointment then?
Tonys tyres lower hutt never again..Firstly have a key drop off box like most garages instead of waiting around, I brought my car to have bushes put in 9/12/22 the day I picked car up it was making a hell of a squeaky noise coming from the left front wheel even my daughter could hear it asking what that noise was, I'm dropping car off today 12/1/23 to have it checked.. lord help me
Very good when it comes to changing batteries at a reasonable price tire service is good but if you have a van with mag wheels they refuse to do that. Their excuse was it is illegal to have mag wheels on vans. Having checked with the road transport authorities I found Tony's Tyre Service incorrect.
Stopped in to replace two front tires including balancing ... Never been here before so only have the one experience as a frame of reference but found the place to be perfectly adequate! Customer service was friendly and accommodating...
The staffs are really friendly and the works are good quality. Special thanks to Ady one who was in office and the staff member who did the work of my car. Excellent work at reasonable price.
Had tyre blow out, we’re from out of town and was prepared to pay any cost for a replacement to get us home plus had sought a ride to get there and get it fixed. Fiancé was told yes they had stock but we had to buy two tyres-we only needed one. Got told they wouldn’t do it, saying we had to get two and then it was too much inconvenience. I called up 10 mins later and spoke with the same guy-Jay. I’m heavily pregnant and explained emergency circumstances in which he gave another fob story saying there wasn’t enough time yet somewhere else was able to do in 15 mins flat. Very unprofessional, unhelpful and in all honesty, the behaviour from Jay was appalling to be changing story just so they could finish their day early.
I had a very bad experience here. I came at September 12, 2022 at 1PM for the scheduled car service which I waited for 1 week, I informed them the problem for my car, told me they couldn't do it because its too late. So, I rebooked for this coming thursday and the caucasian guy told me he will give me a qoute. I called and message the main office of Tony Tyres the following day to get the qoute so I can prepare the money and forwarded me to the Lower Hutt Branch. The guy who answered the phone today told me that the mechanic said its $450, told them I have the mechanical voucher which I bought online, at first they said it will be cheaper, so I said so I will bring an estimation of $450 this coming Thursday just in case not yet finish and he just said, just come and we will give you the qoute when you arrive here. Then in the long run they were saying they cannot fix the transmission of my car in which I told them the problem is the gearbox rear stabilizer mount bush I also informed the guy from Monday all the problems of my car and showed him the paper which he was also moaning that I came at 1pm which is too late. It was not my problem, only if you told in the first place the exact time I will come then I should have come early but no one said to come early. The communication is very poor and the staffs here are very rude and disrespectful.
