Murray at the Lower Hutt store helped us immensely with the purchase of an oven years ago. Recently Murray gave us detailed information about a new dryer for us to make an informed choice. We live our new dryer. Murray's product knowledge and personal service is superb. In recent times it is not easy to find someine with these sales qualities. Thank you Murray.
Extremely Disappointing Customer Service ExperiencennI purchased an office chair from this store, and a component broke during the warranty period. When I reported it, they acknowledged the issue and agreed to repair it but said they didn't have the parts in stock. They promised to contact me once the parts arrived.nnThey never did.nnWhat followed was eight months of me chasing them repeatedly. Eventually, they agreed via email to swap the chair for a new one. Problem solved, I thought.nnWhen I arrived at the store with their email confirmation in hand, the manager refused to honour the swap, claiming the warranty had expired. I had to spend over ten minutes explaining that the chair broke within the warranty period, that I had reported it within the warranty period, and that the only reason eight months had passed was due to their lack of follow-through.nnOnce he finally understood, he backtracked again, now saying he could only replace parts, not the whole chair. Fair enough. But then he told me I'd have to do the swap myself and dispose of the broken pieces at my own expense. When I pointed out that a council rubbish bag wouldn't fit a chair frame and a trip to the landfill would cost more than the part itself, he reluctantly agreed to take the broken piece, but still refused to actually fit the replacement. I ended up doing it myself in the middle of the shop floor.nnI've shopped here many times before, but this was by far the worst customer experience I've ever had. The manager was dismissive, argumentative, and unwilling to listen. I sincerely hope someone in leadership addresses this behaviour and reminds him that customers deserve at least some basic courtesy and respect.
We purchased a kitchen worth of appliances from Harvey Norman Lower Hutt. As you can imagine, we were spending a decent amount, which would make anyone nervous, I think. We have had a really great experience with all of Harvey Norman Lower Hutt and we feel in good hands so thank you very much everyone for making it so easy. However, I just wanted to single out Luke C in particular who we had the pleasure of working with. Luke produced numerous quotes, was happy with us constantly changing our mind sorry and was able to work with us on the pricing. Luke is also very knowledgeable on all things appliances/whitewear, it was very impressive. We felt in really good hands. He was also very professional and easy to talk with. We did shop around but found ourselves coming back to Harvey Norman mainly because we felt in good hands with Luke. We didn’t experience the same level of service elsewhere. Definitely recommend Harvey Norman overall. Thanks very much.
Lots of selection. We came here few times, bought headphones, heaters, ninja appliances, etc. Looking for vacuums next trip for our new place. They have lots of choices to choose from. They located the highest floor, lower floors have lots of furniture selections, and ground floor they have pets supplies store
Had a few issues with stock of a tap from Franke, but Harvey Normans team were very helpful getting this resolved.
