Fresh produce, reasonable prices, big menu, friendly staff. We waited 40-45 minutes on a Saturday night (8pm) to be served with my family from order to actual eat. The place was packed. Seafood chowder was lacking a bit of flavor and one of the mussels in the soup did not open. Also my mussel pot had no olive oil at all. Probably it would have been a better experience if we had visited a weekday.

Love Tommy Ruff! Great business model, all staff are excellent and understand good service. Way better than Hunky Dory and all the others. If I’m eating fish & chips, I’m going to Tommy Ruff.

Tommy Ruff is my "goto" for consistantly good fish and chips. Every time the food is excellent, the staff are friendly, the service is quick. Highly recommended.

The food was absolutely great. Ingredients taste fresh. Had the most wonderful English girl serve us. She was energetic, kind and knowledgeable. Will be back 100%.

This place is so busy. So the food has to be fresh. AND IT IS! Been several times to the Elsternwick establishment. Never disappointed. Had the Orange Roughy the other day. It literally melted in my mouth. Look out for Costa, the Greek waiter. What a gem. What an asset to the business.
