Just saw a bit in the news paper how Tim had to explain how the cost increase in gas is really due to the export parity price we are paying due to there being an increased quantity to make export facilities viable. Welll done Minister for Resources. Stop lying Rod Sims, Australian Competition and Consumer Commission chairman.

As the Werribee area's Minister for Parliament, Mr Pallas should stand up for the families in the Wyndham area and oppose the building of a Youth Detention Centre at Werribee South. A Youth Detention Centre is not in this community's best interest and will not bring enough work to the area to overcome the stigma of having a facility of this type in our neighbourhood. The proposed Werribee South location is farmland and should be used for growing vegetables, not as a prison. Build the Youth Detention Centre in an existing incarceration precinct, either at Ravenhall or Barwon, as either one of these must surely be more suitable than in the middle of a farming and residential area. Otherwise, why not re-build and improve one of the existing Detention Centres? Mr Pallas says he has always stood up for the people of Werribee,. Well, Mr Pallas, stand up for us now and oppose this location. Build the Youth Detention Centre in an existing incarceration precinct, either at Ravenhall or Barwon, as either one of these must surely be more suitable. Otherwise, why not re-build and improve an existing Detention Centre?
