This place is a great classic Italian restaurant with a menu that can suit anyone in the family. The atmosphere is chill and cool. They offer an awesome range of fresh pizzas and paste. Staff members are always friendly, prices are reasonable. The pizza here is really amazing and would recommend trying these guys out. They have great toppings!!!
Before trying this place, we did not realize this restaurant had been around for years. Definitely a hidden gem although the queue say otherwise. Star dish for us were the pizza and the veal parma. Service was friendly and pretty quick too. Food - 8 Service - 9 Vibe - 7 Price - $$$
Excellent service and attentive wait staff on Sunday lunch- sharing plate had a minor stain and was replaced immediately without being asked and water jugs promptly topped up. We had the ink risotto, chicken livers and spicy pork and eggplant pizza and thoroughly enjoyed all 3 items. Keep up the great food and service!
Long queue around 1pm when we reached there without booking. We were very blessed to get a table within 5 minutes because we are only 2 people. Ordered the fungi pizza for the good reviews and risotto / spaghetti with ink sauce. Spaghetti was quite disappointing as its not hot, i supposed they are not quite fresh just pour the sauce on spaghetti, it was quickly prepared though. The pizza was indeed very good wood fire pizza with crispy base and just good enough flavour, so 5 stars for that and quick service regardlesshow busy the restaurant was. Menu is as of 29Dec2022
Great atmosphere right on Lygon - recurring customer for quite some time now. Fairly tentative staff with food coming out in adept time. Large-proportioned servings including desserts; hearty Italian cuisine at its best.
Restaurant-Pizzeria well below expectations and for the rating and for the waiting line before sitting down. I tried to make myself feel good, the arrangement of the tables and chairs was very casual and fluctuating, but the pizza dough was not sufficiently leavened, carbonara pasta, nothing special, pizza with prawns, the latter looked like rubber bullets. Very kind and attentive staff. Unfortunately, the rating cannot exceed two stars.
The pasta here is always superb and the pizza this time was equally wonderful. Lines can get quite long and the booking process can be a tad confusing it's split into different zones and times but overall definitely worth a visit even amongst the strong competition all along lygon st.Food: 5/5
Co-ed bathroom causes some confusion at first...but adequate privacy and facilities for all humans. Espresso Martini is delicious, food is great, service staff are incredibly understanding, friendly and obliging. We got too full early in our meal and requested our share pizza as take away which they were more than happy to accommodate. Highly recommend!
We had a rather lengthy wait to get seated on the Formula 1 GP weekend so we were relieved to be offered an outdoor table. The service was friendly and the garlic bread and meals were satisfactory. I was, however, disappointed to find a drain moth in my drink. I pointed it out to the waitress and she offered to get me a replacement drink which I declined but I did ask that she pass on my feedback to the kitchen.
A small unassuming deli with indoor and outdoor seating. The food however is freshly made from scratch and mindblowingly tasty! Staple Italian dishes pizza, pasta, pesto sauce but cooked with native ingredients that burst zillions of flavours inside your mouth and leave you yearning for more. The simple senior staff are very attentive to the diners. Loved the pesto! Never had such vibrant and delicious pesto in my entire life. Perfect accompaniment to the garlic foccacia bread. Lovely place to hang out with friends.
