I have used this car hire company several times and have always found their prices to be good especially if paying in advance, and their service friendly and efficient. The cars they have supplied me with have been spotlessly clean and all have had very low mileage on them so it feels like you have been driving a brand new car. Several times I have received a free upgrade if the class of car I have paid for was not available.  I am sure to use them again when the need arises.

Had the pleasure of having to rent a vehicle from Thrifty. Everything about the rental was superb, starting with the very competitive price. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The car had only done 4000 miles from new, was clean and very well presented. Would I recommend, a definite YES !!!

Never rent a car from here, if you get a fine you loose a lot more money when they add their charges. I got done for parking on a hotel car park, but had a valid reason, i was unable to contest it due to the fact that Thrifty the rip off merchants had already paid it. Who then stuck another £60 for the trouble. Whitbread who owned the carpark stated that if it wasnt paid i could have quashed the fine but as it was settled, i couldnt. Unfortunately my company rents from these thieves so have no choice, but will be making recommendations to the supply chain.

So the clutch on my car decided to go while in town, one minute before thrifty car rental were about to close! Dominic waited for me to drive there and then calmly sorted the nightmare of documents I needed but that were at home. Thank you Dominic and thank you from Cumbria as I can now continue to support the flooded this weekend. You are a complete star and an asset to the company. :

Excellent service, friendly guy dealt with my pre booking, brand new citroen c3 to drive for the week which was lovely, returned car, checked over by staff and deposit back in my account the next day. Very smooth service and would happily use them again.

We walked in, and the lady was terribly rude and unwilling to help us. Once she hear our American accent, she seemed to shut us off completely. She didn’t even bother to check the bookings on her computer; instead, she blatantly stated they had absolutely nothing available, which we thought was unusual considering she didn’t even care to check in the first place. We went down the street to Easirent, where we had immediately better service and assistance. I would definitely skip going to Thrifty and head straight to Easirent if you are looking for kind, helpful service. The young lady at Thrifty was a miserable old cow and I would not recommend their services in the slightest.

Reserved a car online. Rocked to be told the reservation system does not work. We don't have a car. Asked how much a van was for the week and was quoted 380. Agreed but when we got to the checkout it was 410.

Great selection of cars to rent at a reasonable price. The staff are excellent especially Dominic. If you need to rent a car in the Shrewsbury area they are definitely worth trying.

Nice place to hire car or vans, have good prices on vehicles too, staff are nice and friendly also, and they have some nice vans for you to use.

Pleasant staff and good service, competitive prices.
