Convenient location. Close to the train to get into city and plenty of restaurants in close proximity. Nice, clean rooms. Enough for a comfortable stay. Can be little expensive though and internet connection is sometimes slow.

I highly recomand this place for its food. Breakfast are super good. Besides that, people are very nice and parking is free. Also, rooms are not too bad, but this hotel is not so expensive so.. Anyway its defintly worth to go for its food ;)

Don't be fooled by the skewed ratings given by guests who don't know any better. When you google this place, it comes up as a 4-Star Hotel, when in reality it's only a 2-Star Hotel at best. At check-in the staff are most helpful. They process you quickly and with minimum fuss. It's afterwards that the cracks start to show. I'm booked for 11 consecutive nights here (booked by the company, not me) and not one of them, so far, has been restful. The beds have only a fitted sheet and a doona. Seasonal bed coverings would be appreciated. Yes, I could run the air con all night but that dries my throat out. The room is on the second floor and backs onto Springvale Rd. The windows may only be double glazed at best because I can hear every single vehicle that drives past. The blockout curtains don't fully reach the floor so the streetlights wash in under the curtains. I would just about nod off to sleep and a loud car, or motorbike, would go past and wake me up again. Most nights I get between 2-4hrs sleep. The only way to drown out the traffic noise is to run the air conditioner continuously - and dry out my throat. After the first night I reported two issues with the room, both electrical, including details of how to rectify those issues cheaply (20yrs as an electrician gives me a fair idea of electrical rectification). I was asked if I was going to work that day and was told it would be fixed by the time I got home that evening. It wasn't. I figured the maintenance company was delayed and it would be fixed the next day. It wasn't. I'm going into my 8th consecutive day and still have not had any work done to my room. The welcoming folder in the room is out of date. Given the time of my arrival, and the huge day I'd had in transit, I decided to order room service from the menu in the room. I was told the menu was out of date so I requested an item I thought simple enough to make; Spaghetti Bolognaise. I expected (stupidly as it turns out) that a 4-star hotel would have a high quality chef in the kitchen turning out high quality food. Nope. The spaghetti was out of a packet and the sauce barely had any Italian flavouring. The mince seemed low grade and left a greasy slick at the back of my throat. The overall experience was like eating rubbery noodles with fatty mince. The following evening I was exhausted (due to 2hrs of sleep and a full day at work) and decided to eat in the "restaurant". Leery of my previous experience, I ordered the relatively simple sounding (wrong again) Marinated Lamb Fillet on a bed of couscous threaded with almonds, raisins, gherkins and curry oil. To my surprise (and delight) the lamb appeared to be cooked perfectly. It was only when I put it in my mouth and started to chew that the delight turned to disappointment. The lamb had indeed been cooked perfectly, but all I could taste was garlic with a hint of rosemary. The taste of the lamb had been obliterated by the garlic. In seeing my dishes taken into the kitchen I got a glimpse of the chef and a few things clicked into place. All of the dishes I had ordered to date had been western dishes. The chef was eastern. Lesson learned. Another disappointment of this hotel is the card on the door. It reads; "No Service Required - I choose to be green - The Waverley International Hotel encourages green initiatives. Thank you for your positive contribution to our planet. Hang this on your door each day before 9:00am to opt out of in-room housekeeping. In appreciation, a voucher for a Barista Coffee from No.301 Restaurant will be placed in your room." Well I chose to be green. For 3 consecutive days. Do you think I saw a coffee voucher? Lack of coffee voucher notwithstanding, how is it green if an air conditioner must be run at full power, all night, to drown out traffic noise?

This was the most disappointing hotel! This place seems more of a motel than hotel. The rooms are so old with stains everywhere on the carpets. Bathrooms are so outdated. Couldnt sleep at all due to noises from the street and birds. You can hear everything through the walls. Booked here to stay for 5 nights but it was so bad we had to leave on the 4th day. Don't be fooled by the pictures you see online the actual rooms are tiny and horrible. This place is so over priced for what you actual get. Don't waste your money and time and go stay at the other hotels. We learnt it the hard way. Hope you have better luck.
