Story

The Glen has earnt its way as the long adored shopping centre in Melbourne's East.

Not governed by passing fashion fads and trends, we hang our hat on our diverse mix of fashion, lifestyle and food.

And with almost 200 stores and countless dining options along with an active events calendar, The Glen really does have something for everyone - including unexpected guests.

But one things for sure - once you've experienced our offer, you'll be back for round two.

The Glen Social Media Competition - Competition Terms – Grand Prix 2016
Information on how to enter the competition and information about the prizes form part of these terms. By entering the competition, you accept these terms.
Eligibility
1. To be eligible to enter, you must:
(a) be an Australian resident;
(b) be 18 years of age and over; and
(c) not be our employee or an immediate family member of our employee (or an employee of an agency associated with the competition).
2. Entry is free.
3. We may (in our absolute discretion):
(a) verify entrant’s identity, age and the validity of entry;
(b) disqualify entrants who submit an entry that is not in accordance with these terms or who tampers with the entry process;
(c) disqualify entrants who enter using multiple aliases;
(d) accept entries that contain errors or omissions; and
(e) deem incomplete, plagarised, defamatory or indecipherable entries invalid.
Entering
4. To enter the competition:
(a) Like on The Glen on Facebook.
(b) Respond to the The Glen competition call out by commenting and telling us your favourite race car for the chance to win a family pass (x 4) to the 2016 Australian Grand Prix.

5. Entries must be received between 9:30am (AEDT) on 16/03/2016 and 3:30PM (AEDT) on 17/03/2016. Entries are deemed to be received at the time they are received by us (and not at the time you submit the entry).
6. Entries are limited to one for each person.
7. Upon receipt by us, entries become property of Vicinity Centres TM.
Selecting a winner
8. Prize announcement will occur at 4:30PM (AEDT) on 17/03/2016.
The competition is based on a game of skill. The winner will be selected from the pool of eligible entries which comply with these terms and demonstrate the most interesting, original and creative response (as determined by us in our absolute discretion).
10. The winner will be notified via social media on their winning post by 5:00PM (AEDT) on the day of the prize draw and must respond by 10:00AM (AEDT) the following day after notification to claim his or her prize.
Awarding the prize
11. The competition has a total prize pool of four (four) x tickets to the 2016 Australian Grand Prix, on Saturday 19th March 2016 and valued at $44.50 each.
12. The total prize pool is valued at $178.00.
13. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. If the prize is not available, we may (in our absolute discretion) substitute the prize for another item of equal or higher value as determined by us (in our absolute discretion).
14. Upon the winner claiming their prize, we will provide all relevant information regarding his or her prize. If the winner is not able to participate in or accept any part of the prize, the prize will be forfeited.

Alternative winner
15. If the winners fail to respond by 9:00PM (AEDT) on the day after notification to claim his or her prize, an alternative winner will be selected at 10:00AM (AEDT) following day in accordance with the procedure outlined above. The alternative winners will be notified via their social media post by 10:00AM (AEDT). If an alternative winner does not claim their prize by 9:00PM (AEDT) the following day, we may (in our absolute discretion) retain the prize and are under no obligation to find a further alternative winner.
Changing the competition
16. If the competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of misdirected entries, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond our control, we may (in our absolute discretion) cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or invalidate any affected entries.
Liability
17. We (and our officers, employees and agents) are not liable for any loss, expense, damage or liability suffered or incurred by you in connection with the competition, including:
(a) any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or misdirected entries; (b) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction;
(c) any theft, unauthorised access or interference by another person;
(d) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected;
(e) any variation in prize value to that stated in these terms;
(f) any tax liability incurred by you;
(g) use of, or taking of, a prize; or
(h) participation in the competition.
18. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies the statutory consumer guarantees or implied warranties under the Competition and Consumer Act 2013 or similar state legislation.
Privacy
19. Collecting personal information: When you enter the competition or if you are selected as a winner and awarded the prize, we collect your personal information, such as first name, last name, state, telephone number and e-mail address. Without your personal information, we may not be able to effectively run the competition, select a winner and award the prize. If you wish to access, update or correct your personal information or obtain a copy of our privacy policy, please contact us on 1800 814 788. While we work hard to ensure your personal information is safe and secure, we are not responsible for any unauthorised access to, and disclosure of, your personal information. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies our obligations under the relevant privacy legislation.3
20. Using your personal information: We do not use your personal information for any other purpose, except to run the competition, select a winner and award the prize, as well as to market and promote other products and services which may be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive marketing and promotional material from use, please contact us on 1800 814 788 or select “unsubscribe” on the marketing and promotional material. We do not sell or rent your personal information to another person for their own marketing and promotional purpose, without your express consent.
21. Disclosing your personal information: We may provide your personal information to our service providers, some of whom may be located outside Australia, who assist us with our business, including prize suppliers, data processing, data analysis, online computing, contact centre, legal, accounting, business consulting, auditing, archival, delivery and mailing services. While we believe our service providers also work hard to ensure your personal information is safe and secure, we are not responsible for their conduct. We may disclose your personal information for the following purposes:
(a) responding to lawful information requests from courts, government agencies and lawyers;
(b) investigating and dealing with suspected fraud and unlawful activity;
(c) protecting our lawful interests; or
(d) in the process of a sale or purchase of us or our business.

Right to use name and likeness
22. By entering this Competition, you grant us the right to use (and to license others to use) your name and likeness to market and promote the competition, us or our business, without royalty, payment or other compensation.

Clean. Plenty of natural light. Good range of food outlets. Food court areas can get rather busy at times. Usual range of shops. The toilets are clean.
Travelator is out of order, queue in the lift for people trying to get to car park with trolleys. Imagine the inconvenience it gives to a lot of elderly coming to this mall.
PurpleMay held an event at The Glen today to promote their shop. Unfortunately, they employed unprofessional security guards who were rude and unfriendly. While passing by the shop and trying to understand the event, I was told to leave or line up to enter the shop. I had no intention of going inside but couldn’t understand why standing in the common area of a shopping mall was prohibited. If The Glen discourages shopping during events, better arrangements should be made, or the mall should consider temporary closure if it is a private event!
