We had such a great experience bringing our cat here for the first time. The staff were lovely and a huge effort is made to reduce pet stress - it was the most calm vet visit we've ever had. Thanks Village Vet team!
One of the vet nurses made me feel uncomfortable and quite upset whilst I was picking up my dog from a procedure. I was told my 9 month old dog had a luxating patella, 5 missing teeth and dental disease in a voicemail earlier this afternoon however I was made to feel like I was lying about it when I picked up my dog. I was recommended by one of their vets to get an X-ray on my dogs knee as he injured it about a month ago, however at pick up the nurse did not tell me anything about the results and told me to rest him. As I have already had him strictly resting since the incident I asked how much longer I should continue to rest him and she did not have an answer. The nurse also told me that my dog did not have dental disease or a luxating patella so I am confused as to why I received a personalised voicemail telling me that is what my dog had?
My dog has had some major orthopaedic surgery here and I couldn't recommend them more. They always provide me with plenty of information, guidance and price guides, and treat my dog so nicely while he's there. The vet nurses are lovely and take time to remember their patients, and the vets really do care about the wellbeing of the animals. My dog LOVES going to the vet and that's probably the most positive testament you can get!
Very professional. Gave Oscar my samoyed a peaceful send off to doggie heaven. Explained to the kids what was going to happen so that they knew what was happening. Very greatful for your help.
Cut my dogs nail way too short so that it bled all over someone's shoe at the park, and left him licking it and limping in pain for days. $25 in the bin, could have done a better job myself.
We had the best experience with The Village Vet. The staff are friendly, compassionate and very thorough. The clinic puts a lot of effort into keeping the animals stress free and relaxed separate entry for cats and dogs. We received exceptional advice throughout the treatment process and always felt in excellent hands. We especially appreciated Amanda and Stacey conducting a home euthanasia so that our old cat was able to pass away peacefully in her safe space. We will definitely use The Village Vet again. Thank you again!
This has to be the best vet clinic we’ve visited in the Canberra area. They were able to take one of our cats in to treat an infected tooth at very short notice. Our vet did a wonderful job. He very obviously cared about the animals under his care and took the time to explain everything he needed to do up front and in detail. Unlike some of the other clinics we’ve been to where the approach can come across as impersonal, our vet and several of the nurses took the time to get to know us and our cats, and their friendly and easygoing manner made us feel reassured and confident that our cats were in good hands. Costs were quite reasonable; both our vet and the nurses took the time to give us a good breakdown. Excellent pre- and post-op communication too. Well worth the excellent service. Highly recommend and we will be back.
I wish I could give zero stars due to the terrible service and treatment at this clinic. After being quoted for a simple female spay and attending an initial consult which is over $140!!, I received an 'updated' quote for the surgery which was over $200 more expensive than I was initially quoted, despite there being no issues or problems with my dog...it was apparently an 'adult dog fee' despite me telling them the age of my dog upon initial inquiries. They admitted this should have been communicated when I initially inquired yet were not apologetic and refused to remove the charge. It also took a week for the practice manager to get back to me when I called distressed about the cost of the surgery. Unfortunately I am not a loaded north sider and cant afford these ridiculous charges which were inflated compared to other practices in the first place. Upon reading other reviews this seems to be a common theme with this practice, stay away from this dishonest and unethical business!!!
Always make sure your dog is being looked after with the utmost care. Sometimes there are unexpected charges hence 4 star but I think they are pretty reasonably priced. The team are amazing and the service is great and you know your pets are in good hands
