Story

The Canberra Veterinary Hospital is one of only 32 Veterinary Hospitals in Australia to be recognised by the Australian Small Animal Veterinary Association (ASAVA) as an Accredited Veterinary Hospital of Excellence.

We have undertaken this process because we are serious about providing the highest standards of diagnostic, surgical, laboratory and nursing facilities achievable in our practice.

Recently moved to this veterinary service and they have been incredibly friendly and attentive to my 7-year-old Border Collie. They text reminders for appointments and pickups for medicine. There is not usually much wait for appointments and vets/nurses generally run to schedule. The appointments themselves do not feel rushed though, they are willing to talk to you and assuage any fears you have about your pets health. They are a bit on the pricey side but you definitely get what you pay for. Would highly recommend this vet!

I love knowing that my cat is in safe hands, that's why I love taking her to Canberra Veterinary Hospital. The staff have demonstrated that they truly care about each pet they treat, and they are fantastic at liaising with owners like me in order to explain what's going on, what needs to be done and how to get the pet back on track.

I have been taking my pets to Canberra Vet Hospital for over 17 years. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the vet nurses and vets so kind and caring. Our gorgeous cat contracted cancer and, despite our best efforts, succumbed to the disease. The care showed to both our cat and our family was indescribable. I wouldn't rake my pets anywhere else.

My little Jack Russell Hendrix, had his face and mouth mauled by a staffy cross. I had no appointment , I just showed up with an injured dog. The reception staff and the vet were phenomenal, they will give you honest and straightforward advice. They are also reasonable with the prices for treatment, I paid a lot less then I was expecting, especially considering I had no appointment. They did a follow up call to check on my little one the day after he was home. Plus the return appointment at the vet was free! just a quick check up! 5/5 JUST AWESOME!!!!

Great vet hospital, all the staff are friendly and helpful. They are thorough with investigations and not unreasonably priced. They are quite a large facility so they have many staff to problem solve if there are issues. They really care about the families and pets that come to visit.
