Brought our very anxious dog in for a nail clip and the vet nurse who had the unlucky task did a brilliant job. She was super patient, showered our pet with praise and treats (even when she tried to have a sneaky bite) and got the job done even though it took a while. Highly recommend if you want a practice that appreciates that making sure your pet has a positive experience is just as important as treating their condition.

I have visited many vet clinics and this is far and away the nicest clinic I've been too.

After relocating to Canberra my cat became unwell. I took him to a different vet practice. Following treatment he developed another more serious condition and when I rang that practice to bring him in urgently because he was unable to walk or stand without falling over and was obviously very distressed, I felt there was little empathy for my cat (or me) and that I was being treated as an owner who was just being a bit over-the-top. I decided to ring NVC and they were brilliant. Totally professional, kind and capable care for my extremely unwell cat and understanding for a very upset owner. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. The vet we've seen, Sasha, is outstanding. Even my cat, a shy boy and not a great fan of going to the vet at the best of times, likes her! It's almost as if he remembers that she helped him feel better. NVC will offer a full range of services if appropriate but not push you to undertake expensive testing/treatment. Six stars from me!

I really love this vet. One of the first vets I've found in awhile that I am comfortable with. 
They care so much about my pets and they make sure they try to not tress them out too much. (my German Shepherd is very reactive). 
Not so cheap but we'll worth it. Best vets (and nurses!) ever. 
They've helped me so much.

Well I wouldn't actually know what the service is like. I got a lift up to the vet on Limestone ave, only to find out they have moved to Braddon, after my friend had driven away. Only 1.6km away! so i walked to find they are closed on Sunday. So now the rabbit that my cat attacked is dead, as I couldn't get a lift to another vet god knows where in Canberra. I understand that this was mine (well really the rabbit's) bad luck to be attacked on a Sunday, it's just that I was used to the excellent, almost free service I received from Peter, the old vet from Ainslie. Some clear signage about opening hours at the old Ainslie place would've prevented a long uncomfortable walk for the poor suffering rabbit. I'm mad & I'm going to blame someone.
