Story

Kaleen Veterinary Hospital has been servicing the dogs and cats of North Canberra for over 35 years. With the recent retirement of Dr Steve Connell, the new team (locally owned) have been delighted to meet the clients and pets of the Kaleen area. We are very proud to bring you options for your pets health and together, formulate a plan that is best for you and your pet.

Nice staff but admin seems a bit messy. They seem to have mixed up my cat's vaccination schedule, then did not put in the date for the next vaccination until I asked. Our kitten never leaves the house and seem to have got fleas after visiting the vet, maybe from the garden out the front and during Covid, we all had to stand and talk outside. Then when it's time for surgery, they SMS to say there is an email sent but none was received. The cat did come safely out of surgery so at least the veterinary doctors are skilled and careful! Thank you.
Got in on the same day and were so happy with Simone and Ruby as our vet and nurse. Everything was well explained and prices were very reasonable
Expert team with a real caring attitude to the animals that come to the clinic. Great service for long term care of our dog with some long term health issues.
Too much about commercialization, my puppy had vaccinated and health check up a week before we head to this vet. We were there to check the infection toes and they told us the puppy was having teeth problem, suggested a dentist for us to do the teeth check up. They contacted the dentist for us and we went because they are trusted. However when we get there, they just took my puppy inside, didn’t do any check up before remove the teeth for him. Can’t imagine how much my puppy suffered. I’ve thinking about posting this for a long time, I didn’t but recently they are asking me to go back for vaccination which I already did it somewhere else. They just keep email me about the schedule.
My kitten had a tummy bug and weepy eyes. The vet was very though and helpful, he checked my kitten over to check if anything else wasn't quite right. The clinic was very clean and the staff were friendly and informative and we didn't have to wait long to be seen to. Certainly recommend this veterinary clinic and will be going back for future check ups.

Kaleen Vet are incredible. I will never take my two dogs anywhere else. Cannot thank Kanchan enough for the help she has given is with our anxious dog. And Deb is always so warm and lovely. Can't reccommend enough!
Steve Connell is a wonderful vet and a very decent person. My extended family use his services and could not be happier. If you want to sugar coat things and be fed a load of crap then Steve may not be for you. If however you want honest, reliable, attentive care for your pets Kaleen Veterinary Hospital is convenient, diligent and affordable. Health care for pets isn't always pleasant, but when necessary, you want the best you can get with the extra rubbish.
Always a good, positive experience at kaleen vet. The online booking option is great and my pet has been well looked after by them in the past. :
