I agree about the Psyc. Unit, it is a disgrace and very uncaring. I went in Voluntary some time ago and only lasted 1 night. It was mainly the day staff as I found the night staff very understanding and caring. I was threatened by a male student doctor when I discharged myself. When I was admitted I was not shown round, not told any information of when and where meals were held., There should be separate areas indoors and outside for Voluntary and Involuntary clients. I have advised clients not to go there. All the staff need to experance Mental Health Issues before they are employed there.

All is excellent, but when my mother is 70 & in pain & doctors wouldn't perscribe medication because they think she is a junky is disgusting. Not happy!

My wife was treated for breast cancer here and cured .Very good hospital but there can be a bit of a wait at times.
