After waiting an hour and a half past my appointment time, which I had to take time off work for, I had to leave without seeing the Dr to collect kids from school. After informing reception that I was leaving to do this, I received no apology for the delay, or offer to rebook my appointment, just a “no worries, we’ll let the dr know”. Well it is a worry! I understand that medical emergencies may arise and cause delays, but waiting patients also have work, lives and commitments. Surely a system could exist that patients could be advised upon checking in, or phones prior to appointment, when a long delay is expected.
Friendly and efficient reception staff. Never have to wait long for the GP. Nurses pleasant and quick. Highly recommended.
Tamica the chronic disease management nurse is very friendly and explains everything with great clarity and is very understanding.
The team at Townsville Family Medical are brilliant, always happy to help and are super great communicators! keep up the great work :
Doctors are fantastic and well experienced.nReception is terrible, there is one or two really bad eggs.nImpossible to make a phone call for appointments or enquiries.nI feel sorry for those who are unable to utilise the online booking service.
