Over the past 3.5 years I have been working with Matt to overcome and learn how to cope better with chronic depression, generalised anxiety, and associated side effects of both. I found Matt back in June 2019 – It was an immediately welcoming dynamic which continued to blossom into a professional yet friendly and comfortable working relationship over the following years. As someone who had trouble finding a suitable therapist/therapy environment throughout adolescence – it was a genuine relief to begin therapy with Matt in my early twenties. His patience, empathy and understanding have been invaluable to me and I will always be grateful for the work we have achieved together. Matt is a very skilled and compassionate clinical psychologist - I can’t recommend him enough.

My experience with Matt has been great so far. We have been having regular sessions through Skype for about one year now. Therapy with Matt has helped me a lot to overcome insomnia and its associated problems and provided me with techniques to deal with sleep problems independently if they ever represent themselves. We also managed to have a broader discussions which helped me identify and work on some problematic issues about my behaviour and thoughts and see them from an angle I had never considered before. Matt is very patient and very skilled in immediately understanding the issue at hand and provide a formulation in light of his knowledge. He has always provided me with useful practical advice and material to reflect on. Talking and sharing itself is a very useful and liberating activity if you feel that the listener understands and cares about what you are saying and empathises with even the smallest of your issues, like Matt always does. Matt has always been punctual and professional, and he has always demonstrated a great deal of attention and care towards his job. He was always ready with a summary of our previous sessions and some new points and material to cover for the next one. I found having therapy through Skype also very convenient. Overall, I would definitely recommend Matt to anyone.
I contacted Matt initially as I had just entered into a new relationship 3 months in, after being single for many years, mainly due to the trauma of the emotional abuse I had experienced in my previous relationship with a partner that suffered with Narcissistic Personality Disorder NPD. Although I had been in therapy after this experience there were several emotional trust issues that started to arise for me in my new relationship. Falling in love again was very painful. I needed an extra layer of support so that I could enjoy a healthy relationship without it being tainted with trauma triggers/PTSD from my previous experience. I specifically searched for a reliable Psychologist that has experience of working with NPD ‘victims’, that could help me move past/manage the issues. From the first contact, Matt was prompt and was able to understand my situation and its challenges. I’ve been working with Matt now for 1 year, he has helped me enormously with his knowledge and experience. Matt has given me various useful techniques that have helped me with my challenging moments/days. I’m very grateful for his continued support. My situation has changed dramatically since I first contacted Matt and I feel much more emotionally secure with my emotions. My relationship continues to grow with love in ways I have never experienced before. I highly recommend Matt; his mix of professionalism, support and care, a splash of humour, his empathy and compassion, and his expertise and knowledge have completely turned around my relationship emotional wellbeing into one far less fearful and stressful. He has given me hope and confidence that I can have and sustain a healthy relationship. Skype video works great and is my preferred flexible therapy medium, particularly when I’m in different locations at times.
Matt was a huge help to me in getting to the bottom of a very difficult period. He has a calm, sincere and kindly presence and provided me with very practical, tailored solutions. Would recommend to anyone!
