Me and my friend were supposed to go to Rainbow Beach tonight, but due to the flooding we were stranded in Gympie tonight. At first we thought we’ve been cursed but as soon as we walked into “The Royal Hotel” we felt very optimistic again. After a quick chat to the nice guy behind the bar, Mackenzie sorted us out immediately. We’ve got a nice room for a nice price and we are enjoying a nice meal in the pub below. Cheers for being awesome Mackenzie!

What a great night! The biggest thank you to The Royal. I arrived to a surprise Birthday dinner last night. There was table of 20 with my family and friends waiting. 
Being such a large group The Royal's new system worked perfectly, where they took order's at your table and you pay as you leave. What a fantastic idea!! 
Everyone's meal came out at the same time and was delicious. 
A big thank you again to Stacey, Linc, Mackenzie, Emerson and all the staff. You made my Birthday the best ever! ❤❤

Great atmosphere, modern design and table settings within the building, excellent number and variety of menu options (food and drinks), delicious high quality food, and highly friendly staff. The only negative is the waiting times for food, as I had to wait nearly 40min for me and my friends to get food after I ordered it.... Overall the place is terrific but the waiting times have to improve before I become a frequent customer👍

Booking in to stay the night was friendly enough. We actually went here for a private function but was disgusted to find that the smoking area was right beside the pool table area. When we quizzed about why are people smoking inside we were simply told that due to the roof it was classified as outside this was simply not true it was a closed in bar at the front and it was a closed in area at the back with a pool table in between and smoking was about 3 m from the pool table area it was not outside there was clearly a roof over the top absolutely disgusting if you're a non smoker and against the law as your not supposed to smoke within 5 metres of a building. Personally would never stay here or go here again.
