Due to flooding and road closures, we had to find last minute accommodation in Gympie and Shady Rest Motel went above and beyond to provide that for us despite already being fully booked. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and generosity! The room was spacious and comfortable, and everything was clean and tidy. We had a very comfortable stay. It was peaceful and quiet, whilst still being very close to the town centre. Thank you very much again!

Recently stayed at Shady Rest. Had a complete travel disaster unravel, the owners Helene & Michael were both gracious & understanding spending a lot of time getting me back on the road again. Great people, forever grateful.nMy room was a spacious & clean oasis. Thank you

Overnight business stay.nIt's clean, convenient and well kept.nPlenty of other guests but didn't hear any unless I went outside.nOverall a good night sleep.

Room was clean but old dated and musty. Definitely not a $170 a night room. Dogs barking over the back and sound proofing practically non existent. We didn't stay. Left and booked in down the road where we were able to get some sleep.

Our Team stayed at Shady Rest Motel while we where completing a Project in the area.  Lovely people, comfortable rooms, so helpful with everything, totally recommend this lovely Motel to stay at. - Brown Contractors
