It is odd to pay these prices and have to collect our own meals when the four/five staff were not doing anything.
We dropped into The Royal Hotel on our way back from the high country as couple of weeks ago. I was served the best chicken parmigiana meal that I have come across in years - actually made from a real chicken fillet. 100% hats off to the chef for an excellent dish. We'll be dropping in here on our way through next time for sure. Highly recommended!
Average country pub. Food was reasonably priced but nothing terribly special. Kids play area is a nice touch but it was absolutely freezing in there! Staff seemed a bit flustered, it was somewhat busy but plenty of free tables so I would imagine it would get busier.nWould i go again? Maybe. I wouldn't be making a special trip for it though.
Most boring roast pork Ive ever eaten. Gravy was brown but flavorless, crackling 15mm2. Fish & chips were ok although you'd never know if it was flathead or not, salad was fresh & tasty. Would not recommend. The guy at the bar was pleasant.
