I just had the most fabulous dining experience at this restaurant!  As a head chef in an Italian restaurant for over 4 years, I can confidently say that their mushroom and chicken risotto is exceptional. It takes a lot of skill to achieve the perfect texture, and they have truly mastered it. The risotto wasn't mushy or soupy like in many places; it had just the right consistency. Additionally, grilling the chicken before adding it to the rice adds a delightful smoky flavor that enhances the dish even more. As someone who has been cooking Italian food for a while, I'm not easily impressed, but this was beyond my expectations and one of the best risottos I've ever had. The steak sandwich was also outstanding. Keep up the amazing work, guys! Your culinary skills are truly commendable. I got there for morning coffee. The coffee was so good and warm. The staff are helpful and polite. Nice and good vibe. The only thing was it took 15 min to have my coffee.Food: 4/5

I had moved from the area and recently returned for an appointment. I missed the place. The food, as always, is most excellent. Truly an oasis, a place for the people to share food, culture, and friendship as the sign says Publics corner "where friends meet". To absent friends during these troubling times. I remember you   . Excellent. I haven't been in the Dandenong area for about 20 years and it has picked up quite a bit. This place, The Publics Corner, cafe restaurant bar, has got everything. The cafe staff run the business professionally. Good job, well done! The egg bacon toasted sandwich was excellent!Food: 5/5

One of the best to grab morning coffee to start a day. Tried Flat White small size $4 and it’s so smooth and mouthfeel combined with aroma.Food: 5/5

Am absolutely amazing cafe in the town  I enjoyed my breakfast with my mates in this cafe  We tried the “ Feast for 4 “ which was an amazing dish.  Although the price was as very expensive still the overall experience was great.  The customer service was amazing and we enjoyed our meal in a wonderful atmosphere. It is highly recommended for breakfast an branch  Looking forward to visiting this cafe again  Keep up the great works mates

I have been here few times now and I must say they have good halal food options. However their service needs to be improved a lot. The food we ordered came with a portion of fries and waitress accidentally dropped the fries on the table and replaced it with a smaller portion and billed me extra for it.Food: 4/5

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this cafe. My friends and I waited for nearly an hour to receive our food, which is unacceptable considering there were other tables that arrived after us and were served before us. The lack of communication and transparency from the staff only added to our frustration. When we voiced our concerns about the lengthy wait time, instead of an apology or acknowledgment, we were met with disdainful looks and eye-rolling from the staff member. What struck me the most was the complete absence of any attempt to rectify the situation or even offer a simple apology. It's disheartening to see such disregard for customer satisfaction. As someone who enjoys supporting local businesses, it pains me to leave this review. However, I feel obligated to share my experience to prevent others from enduring similar disappointment. I would caution anyone considering dining here to think twice and perhaps explore other options in the area

Best brunch in Dandenong! Service is amazing, staff is friendly and attentive. Food came out fast even though the entire restaurant is full.  Dietary restrictions: Halal options available
