It's a nice enough little venue. I've been here twice now. The atmosphere of the place is nice and gives a comfortable impression, particularly in the smaller room. The entrance to the venue is via a flight of steep stairs, so if you are somebody who is living with reduced mobility you may find accessibility to be challenging.
Great atmosphere Saturday night. A good mix of talent/ music techno/house from all over. Beer is a little pricey and nice decor. This place would be awesome with a smokers/courtyard!!

A great LIMBO party the other night. More gay people should have come. Consider expanding marketing! A good crowd overall. Would have been great to have more 90s dance music; That's just my personal preference. I spoke with about 6 people outside the club that didn't want to come in because of the cover charge; It was $30 to enter. Well done on putting a good party together!

Awesome place, friendly staff, really awesome and chill vibe. If you're staying in Hobart even for a short time I strongly suggest coming down here to have some fun! Great place to play some pool too!
The bouncer was very arrogant. He was grabbing some woman while on duty outside the door and it was just disturbing … he denied me entry claiming it’s lockout but It was only 1am and if I’m correct Poobah doesn’t do that until 2-3am from what locals have told me? I wasn’t drunk or rude at all and in proper attire. so this behaviour is just odd. I’m from America and was looking around bars for my travel blog as I have a high amount of followers who like seeing the worst-best clubs/bars in the world. Definitely rating this place a 1/10. Need to do something about your unprofessional bouncers. Especially fondling a woman while on duty. A few other people who saw was repulsed as well.
Good place to hang out with friends. I went there for my friend's birthday party. They've got karaoke but the only problem it's an open mic so if you're down to sing for the crowd then this is the place else you're better off watching people sing with songs you wished you hear it better when it is your iTunes. Overall chill place and nice atmosphere but too dark.
Spacious venue with two main areas. There are often events, which almost always incur a door fee these days. There's usually a lot of people here on Saturdays and it can be a great place to drink, chill or see a gig. You'll nearly always see a lot of people sitting out the front smoking as there's no smoking area within the venue. It's not uncommon for people to be on drugs, that is no fault of the venue though.
