Story

Cultura Espresso Bar and Restaurant is located in the middle of the Hobart CBD.
Focusing on simple, hearty Italian cooking with a contemporary twist and providing
some of the best service this side of Milano. We are fully licensed stocking Italian,
Australian and local wines and also offering a wide range of beers, spirits and
liqueors. We provide seating indoor, including a bar perfect for coffee or quiet lunches,
and outdoor seating if you wish to watch and enjoy the atmosphere of the CBD.
Our extensive menu consists of breakfast, traditional pasta and pizzas, light salads,
beautiful antipasti, daily specials and take aways also just to name a few.... and

It was worth the trip from Melbourne to enjoy a wonderful meal at Cultura in Hobart. Luke's team of fine chefs and waiters have been well trained and provide an excellent service. The beef cheek was perfectly cooked and fell apart with the fork, without the need of a knife. All other meals were cooked to perfection. They have a great cocktail barman, and the Italian wine selection by the glass is very competitively priced. Thanks for a great night.
I would have given the restaurant 6 stars if that was possible. Food, staff and ambience , everything is perfect! Luca gave us a warm welcome and helped us choose from the brilliant menu. We had the best Risotto and prawn pasta with Arancini balls. Rest of the staff is lovely and efficient. Would definitely dine here when we visit Hobart again! Highly recommend for the best Italian food and experience.
Great service provided here by the crew. Felt so welcomed and absolutely love the food recommendations by the crew. The pepperoni pizza and seafood marinara is awesome.The seafood is fresh and portion was just right too.
Over-rated. Our experience was just a little above average. Main courses were thankfully quite good, but the desserts were disappointing. Flourless cake was clumpy and did not taste nice. I have tasted better tiramisu. Service was also perfunctory. The staff could not even remember us even though we had gone into the restaurant 30 minutes earlier to enquire if we could have an earlier table.
A very pleasant dinner at Saturday night. Duck deep cooked and garlic bread very crispy are the best. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. Definitely will come again!
It was booked out over the phone but we were lucky to get bar seats for dinner when we asked again walking pass. We ordered beef and pork ragu and seafood marninara. I loved the stronger flavour of the garlicky marninara more. The portion was decent and the stuff were very friendly and cocktails were yummy too. I wish we have the stomach space to try their good looking deserts but until next time! Good Italian fix if you're traveling like us and needing some carbs and good times after a long day wondering around the city.
I just celebrated my 64th birthday at this wonderful establishment. I have eaten at many restaurants in Australia and overseas. This definitely ranks in my top 3! Interaction with staff was so much fun, the food is top class, and I cannot wait to go back! An experience I will never forget! Congratulations Luke and team!
Culinary orgasm with every mouthful literally the best Italian food I've ever eaten , I thought the Maldini at Salamanca was good before I ate here and now it's not even a competition, then on-top of the 20/10 food the service could not have been better , ever staff member was passionate about they're job and looked like they really wanted to be there they were all so nice, very approachable, professional and helpful! If you come to Hobart and don't eat here you genuinely have missed out on great experience
I was very impressed when I went there for the first time. Not to mention the food, the staff are wonderful!!! We were so impressed that we made a reservation for the next day when we finished eating! The dishes we ate were puttanesca and bruschetta. I was surprised at this bruschetta.
My partner and I visited Cultura while we were down from Brisbane. It was, hands down, the best Italian we have experienced since our trip to Rome, pre-covid. The arancini, pizza, and calzone were all impeccable and an absolute must-try. The atmosphere and customer service were both fantastic, all the staff were lovely and Ricardo especially was incredibly attentive and informative about the menu and restaurant's history. Next time we're in Hobart we'll definitely be back. Sensational dining and service.
