Good experience. Had the steak sandwich which was nice and tasty. Steak cooked well. Others enjoyed their food too - cheeseburger, calamari, chicken parma. 30 min wait from ordering and didn't mind. All up, enjoyable outing. Prices reasonable.
Most pitiful excuse for a meal I've ever had. I did order a seniors but was expecting more than one flathead tail and three slices of tomato and a few limp leaves that they thought constitutes a salad. Chips were limp and cold. Definitely not $20 worth!nIt was a busy evening and I was in a group but we all did individual orders and I had already been waiting quite a while. People who ordered the same meal after me were served before me so i I had no confidence i would get it fixed in a timely manner. Mentioned it to staff and their response was to offer a free drink, I was hungry not thirsty! Won't be returning!!!
If you’re specifically looking for a restaurant in the Caulfield area with a built-in kids’ playground, then this place will tick that box.nnHowever, if you’re after value for money, good service, a quieter atmosphere, or standout food, you might want to look elsewhere.nnThe food is typical pub-style — decent enough, but not at the price point being charged. Paying $30+ for mains e.g. $31 for a relatively small parma sets a higher expectation, and unfortunately it doesn’t quite deliver at that level.nnThe noise level is also something to be aware of. If you don’t have kids, it can be quite overwhelming, with children not only in the playground but also running around the venue at times.nnService was the biggest letdown. Like many venues, you order at the counter or via the app. Unfortunately, our app order was lost — payment was taken, but the order never made it to the kitchen. When we followed it up, we were initially told to check if we’d done it correctly and asked for proof, before it was eventually acknowledged that the ticket had been lost. After waiting around an hour, the manager offered either a refund or to have the meal made then and there.nnBy that stage, the experience had already been impacted, the larger group we with had already finished eating. So we declined.nnOverall, it’s a venue that suits families wanting a playground-style setup, but for the price, the food and service didn’t meet expectations.
This is a restaurant I first heard about through a customer’s recommendation. I once thought about going in alone, but ended up turning back because it didn’t feel like a place for solo diners. This time, I went with my family and really enjoyed it.nThe food was delicious, and while the atmosphere inside was lively and a bit noisy, it had a festive, party-friendly vibe that suited the place well.nI’d like to come back again.
Wonderful place to visit with kids and friends.nStaff were friendly and attentive.nThe corned beef with mustard sauce was delicious.nKids loved the play area!
