Story

George's Greek Tavern in Malvern, is a well-known and long established name in the Melbourne Restaurant landscape. There have somewhat been a change of the guard and "new" George has brought the building and its hospitality service into a more modern tavern sphere.
Whilst the decor has been refreshed, the ambience is unmistakenly and essentially Greek. The food, of course, is traditionally Greek. Our aim is to take you on a nostalgic trip to Greece via your taste-buds!
Nick (chef & George's father) started his chef career in Greece and later refined his culinary expertise across Europe's finest restaurants. He brings amazing experience and cooking techniques to this Greek Restaurant in Melbourne.

With a dedicated functions menu (see our website), Georges Greek Tavern is the perfect place to hold your Greek Function – or any themed function, where you’d like Greek food to star on the menu: Weddings, Birthdays, Business Lunches & Dinners, Memoriam, End of Year and Christmas Functions and more. Able to accommodate around 130 seated, you will indulge in one of the best value-for-money functions in town; food quality and food quantity is not compromised.
