Quick, friendly and helpful service.nThey have a good variety of beers and wines on tap as well as menu items - something for everyone. Menus are clear with drinks side, food side and prices listed.nA good atmosphere with dark timber inside and shaded areas outside to sit.nGarlic bread was great. Nice and soft with some crispy bits and a very enjoyable garlic butter flavour.
Absolutely loved the steak and Guinness pie here! The flavors were spot on and it was cooked to perfection. The vibe of the place is fantastic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Definitely a great spot for a meal and drinks!
My family and I had dinner at the George last week. For entree we had the salt and pepper calamari and cheesy garlic bread which were both delicious. For main, we had nachos, chicken parmigiana, sirloin steak and the steak and guinness pie. My nachos were delicious, but my parents and partner weren’t wowed with their meals unfortunately. That being said, the atmosphere at this pub is awesome and I would still return, but would probably stick to the dishes on the ‘to share’ menu as they were the stand outs. I also have to mention the mulled wine which is a 10/10 in winter!
Great pub with good food. Family friendly. Kilkenny was a nice pint but would be good if they could get more UK beers choices. Suggest booking a table as it can get busy.
