The food at this restaurant is amazing. Everything was cooked and prepared to perfection, with a short waiting time. The menu has a wide selection to suit all pallets and is easily adaptable to suit the dietary needs of customers. The service was impeccable. The owner of the restaurant is constantly coming to tables to refill glasses, check in on meals and chat to the guests. The atmosphere is also to die for. The Deck looks over a beautiful city and river view, with a black and white theme which is very pleasing to the eye. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
They have a nice view, with a wide variety of wine to choose from and the service is really good, however, their food is simply not worth the price you pay for and their menu is very limited and confusing. They should try having a set menu instead, perhaps with the choice of pairing wine and the food. I think that would offer a better value for money.
Had the lamb for dinner and it was absolutely divine. Their homemade tiramisu was delicious and our table enjoyed the cheese platter with our coffee. Service was lovely and friendly. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is a few more items on the menu.
Small intimate bar/restaurant with a small Italian menu but with plenty of flavour. Wine list also small but the wines by the glass were better than average. Went for lunch but would be good for pre-show rendezvous or after show wine. Friendly staffFood: 4/5
An amazing family night out, with food that was delicious, fresh, tasty, vibrant and served with a smile! Atmosphere was perfect! Beautiful summer night at such a lovely location! Different types of meals to please all dietary requirements. Enjoyed the evening, the atmosphere and the food! Just perfect! I've also been back another 2 times since. Definitely a night out for anyone. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed :
We were here for a pre-theatre meal. $45 for 2 courses and $55 for 3, with a glass of wine. My friend and I both chose the Tuna tartarte and the trout. Both dishes were delicious, the trout so smooth and naturally tasty. The Deck is very popular for pre theatre, the service is prompt and courteous. Sourdough bread is complimentary, and so good. Definitely will return.
the waitress poured this beer and took 5-10 minutes to get the attention of the waitress
Nice little spot to escape the hussle of South gate. Food is very much modern dining but the staff are friendly and welcoming. Good range of lunch and dinner options. Also an easy place just to meet someone for a coffee or drink pending the time of day. Very good value for money considering the quality of the food but you do pay for the quality
Pre-theatre meal with 3 of us dining. Wait staff were great - efficient and unobtrusive. We shared a charcuterie platter for entree which was delicious, then had a main each. Pastas were a reasonable size, although the spanner crab dish was extremely oily so my mother had to leave 1/2 of it. The rocking fillet I ordered was ridiculously small for $36 - maybe 150g tops? Photo shows the size of it compared to a dinner fork.
We enjoy our time at the Deck. With family, pre-theatre or just the Wife and I the experiance is always pleasurable. The staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is always welcoming. On our last dining experience we ordered the Rigatoni Ragu, Spanner Crab linguini and shoe string fies. The fries were lovely, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and lightly salted. The Ragu was full of chunky sausage and flavoursome mince. The only downside was the crab. This time it was a little bit complicated with the flavours. The crab was fighting for attention and not always winning. But still a great night and highly reccomend.
