Perhaps the best brunch place in Rowville. Small, intimate space with glass surrounds..went in winter and it wasn't cold. The food is well presented and absolutely delicious! Only thing is they do get busy on a weekend and we waited a while for our order to be taken, but it was definitely worth it!
Very accommodating to our family of 8 who came for lunch. Catering to coeliac and fructose intolerance for a few family members. I had the Poke Bowl and sensational is an understatement!! The coffee was so good and the kids enjoyed their milkshakes so much they had another. Wonderful friendly staff. I know my family who live nearby will be back, but I will have to wait to my next visit to Victoria from WA. Thank you for a lovely lunch.
I don’t usually review food places, but holy Jesus the Ricotta Hot Cake from The Butler’s Pantry in Rowville was insane. It is the perfect hotcake cooked to perfection with ricotta, pistachios, nuts, fresh berries and an amazing hotcake sauce to die for. I personally thanked the chef. Unbelievable. Worth the 5000km drive for this.
Hands down the best coffee and brunch in Rowville!!! Friendly staff, amazing baristas. Your soul will thank you….
Baked eggs was great, see photo below, nice outdoor area, noisy inside. Finally a cafe not afraid to butter the toast, will come again !
Always a good experience dining here. The staff is friendly and prompt to help. The food is well presented and consistent in taste. The menu is slightly more pricey than average cafe.Recommended dishesShakshuka, Chilli Scramble
I always strive to be objective, so here I go: Great decor, well made and presented coffee with attractive coffee art, the meals that were being served around us looked very good and had a high presentation. There were 13 of us meeting for a coffee catch up and work connect. One of our team ordered a toasted cheese and tomato sandwich and was told she could not eat it in the cafe and had to go outside. Why?? Is it because it is not on the menu and we can only eat the more expensive items listed, inside the cafe? Such a ridiculous instruction from a cafe staff member - it must have been embarrassing for them to give a customer this information. Who has made this rule? The manager? The owner? Because of this, 12 others decided to not purchase anything apart from their coffees and then leave. As a result: - the cafe lost out on food sales from a dozen customers - the customers left disappointed - nobody wins A shortfall in creating a positive experience and serving the customer has become a costly exercise. I wonder if any other patron inside the place was going to be offended by someone eating a toasted sandwich that was prepared and purchased at that location? Food for thought..
Dining in Rowville is usually a sad affair but The Butlers Pantry is a pleasant little find. Flavour and presentation are both good and the wait staff and chef are willing to adjust the menu to cater for dietary requirements. Although vegan options can be catered for, I'd love to see some dedicated vegan options or at least vegan substitutions clearly labelled on the menu. Very bad experience. I don’t recommend it if you go there more than 2 people. They don’t take bookings and it’s nothing wrong with it, the problem comes when you want to go there with more than one person. We’ve been there with our kids to have brunch and we waited for more than 30 min to be seated, while others, that came after us , that were less as number were seated very quickly. I asked the owner how long we have to wait and I expressed my unhappiness that is not correct to seat people that come after us while we are waiting , that he doesn’t do any effort to seat us, to put 2 tables together eventually. His answer was that they have few tables for more than 2 people and this is how he runs his business. I got this answer after waiting 30 min. Bad customer service. I will never ever go there.
Busy. With really good coffee. Nice food We'll drop in for breakfast next time as the menu was inviting. Definitely a good place to stop & grab breakfast or lunchFood: 4/5
