Great pub feed and beer selection and access to watch the footy! Ordered the Chicken Parma, and it was spot on—crispy, cheesy, fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
I ordered nachos, the chips were burnt, there was no cheese, the dish was plain and tasteless. Husband ordered the hamburger, 6 out of 10, nothing to write home about. We thought it was quite pricey. We wanted a mid strength or light beer, we were told the barrel was empty. The option offered was a non alcoholic beer. The experience was very disappointing. We certainly won't be returning. We had young grandchildren with us, we were shocked and in disbelief when we saw the playground situation. No safety or secure fencing in place. Children could easily end up on the street or road via two routes.
There is plenty to choose from on the menu. For lunch, I chose fish and chips with vegetables, which was excellent, the tartare sauce was delicious. After lunch, I attended a first birthday party, also at Queen of the West in the Garden Bar. Lovely pizza snacks, plenty of room for small guests to move around. Lovely venue for a meal or function. Suggest bookingnat busy times.
Yesterday my friends and I had our friendsmas bottomless brunch. When we arrived we were told that they had an event on that day so weren’t doing bottomless, it must have been a mistake on the booking system. We spoke to the beautiful manager who was absolutely so kind to let us still do it, and brought out so much amazing food throughout the 2 hours for us. We were blown away with her generosity as we were more than happy to just order off the menu because of the mistake, but she went out of her way on what seemed like the busiest day they have all year to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. I didn’t grab her name but want to say a massive thank you to the whole team!
Food was underwhelming. Some dishes were served lukewarm to cold. Flavours were bland. There were 6 of us and only two enjoyed their meal. The wings were good.nThe service was warm and friendly, particularly the mature lady front of a house.
