This was our view at Motown last night Seats 8-12cc The patrons who had purchased front row seats in the balcony saw fit to stand and obstruct everyone seated behind - we approached staff and were given replies of The performers like to see people dancing . If we make an area for dancing we lose seats . Well - never again Astor Theatre Our seats should have been sold -warning restricted viewing

Beautiful venue, great vibrant colours. In a great location too, with plenty of options for eating and drinking. The staff are informative and take their job seriously, although the snack prices are a robbery. Small down side are the seats themselves, which you spend majority of your experience in. They tend to move and wobble with every movement of the people next to you, and they are absolutely crammed in. Would recommend for live music, perhaps not for something quieter and sedated. At the end of the day, this places provides what it needs to and delivers.

Lovely venue, sound is great. The seats aren't so great, comfort-wise, but it didn't stop us from having a memorable evening!

Seats and view was great but when everyone started standing wherever they wanted in the seated area I completely lost my view, security didn't want anything to do with it happy to let it carry on even though they were staring right at it.

It is an old theatre however seatings are comfortable. Staff are very kind and friendly. Quite a lovely drink menus and chips are sold in reasonable pricing surprisingly. We enjoyed music concert the other day there. Thank you very much

I cannot thank the staff at Astor Theatre enough. Above and beyond to make sure we got to see a show. When we had to cancel last minute due to Covid back in March. The concert was great and the atmosphere at the venue was awesome. We will be back for sure. Thank you

Nice venuedecor. Sat up back and it was easy to see. Chairs not very comfortable. *An important note*: staff do kick you out onto the street once show finishes. I personally feel this is not appropriate, I understand that there may be VIP shows but surely the doors to the theatre room itself can be closed. Staff should allow people who have attended alone to wait inside for their transport for safety reasons. The staff should ask the patrons if they’re comfortable waiting outside. As a woman who had attended alone, I would’ve much preferred to wait for my Uber inside where it felt safer and where staff were nearby if I needed help. I’ll be sending feedback to their website regarding this also.

The venue is one of the best venues to see a live band. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. The only negative comment I can make is the floor heading down to the stage is revolting, it’s so sticky your feet stuck to it and made it difficult to walk/ move. I guess that’s to be expected with alcohol spillage on it, oh well just part of reliving the 80s

Very small uncomfortable seats which make it hard to enjoy any shows. Can't even stretch my leg and body as the chairs are placed very very close to each other that I'm almost touching the person next to me. The stage, lighting and sound system is fine.
