Story

The Ellington Jazz club features the finest touring acts and the cream of Australian Jazz talent in an intimate environment. World class Jazz, warm hospitality- and early sets so you can drop in after work. Reservations can be made for table seating online and we ask that you arrive and are seated before the performance begins. If you have missed out on a table seat or have not booked, there are some bar stools available in the bar area. Check show pages for show start times and pricing. The Ellington opens 1 hour before the first scheduled show time for the night and closing times may vary. We are licensed until 1am weeknights, 3am Friday and Saturday and 12am Sunday.

What a marvellous intimate jazz club. My brother his son and I went there to listen to a 10 piece band called Manteca. They were phenomenal. So together, tight and inspired by their music. It was some of the best funk jazz I have heard in a long time. The Ellington Jazz Club was the ideal venue in Western Australia to listen to music of this high calibre. The audience was highly appreciative and responded accordingly winning 2 encores from the band at the end of the session. A truly thrilling night out.

The place is cozy, so you have good views and sounds from the stage. Depending on the music, it can be nice or too loud. The ticket prices are worth it as the performances are usually great.

The food is good with vegan and vegetarian options. It is standard pub food.

Had an absolutely amazing evening at the Motown Tribute.  Great music, great atmosphere.  So much talent, brilliant musicians.

A standout venue in Perth, multiple shows every night of the week with well-priced memberships giving you access to discounted entry. Stand up bar tickets are great value but can be super cramped in peak times. Food is basic but welcome in a long event with friendly table service. Crowd is mixed depending on the event. Great sound stage and atmosphere.

Always good vibes at Ellington's Jazz club. Very knowledgable bar staff, great hospitality and an eclectic mix of characters to enjoy some of Perth's finest musicians with.
