The Extraordinary Different Thai cuisine from the most awards winning Thai Chef's Restaurant is now in Christchurch. We are privileged to be honoured the Thai Select PREMIUM certification by the Prime Minister of Thailand during Official Visit in 2013 to NZ for its authenticity of Thai cuisine.

I have visited this restaurant several times. Every time the food is excellent and good value for the price. The service from the wait staff is good, but their reservation system is lacking. Each time we have been there either our reservation was lost or notes about the table we requested were lost, thankfully the food makes up for it every time. We will still keep coming back, but if they improve the reservation system I will be happy to change this to a 5 star review

Went for special occasion. Never going back! Food was all the same across the range and we ordered everything! Even mild options were extremely hot and we are talking hot food lovers here! Fish was overcooked, the same with rice. Staff speaks no English and with all the respect for their hard work it was quite an issue to figure out the menu and order. No advice from staff that food is extremelly hot for Westerners! I bet food is that spicy to mask the taste and poor quality! Thai food is/should be mind blowing good!  This food was bad and I am firm in not going back to that place. Website says this establishment  was recognized by president of Thailand for its excellence! No way! I wish I had his email to let him know!

As advised by owner I contacted the restaurant weeks ago! but manager never followed up on my call/complaint!  Quite bad again. I just waisted my time...

Above average, but not exceptional. Better options available in town. Excellent use of spice, one of the spiciest foods Ive had in NZ Excellent salad. Pad Thai a bit average but happy to see the duck option. Nice interior.

Great food, great service. Certainly one of the better Thai meals I've had. I happily award 5 stars to this restaurant and I will be back.

This restaurant came highly recommended by a family member so my expectations were high! My partner and I were looking forward to an authentic Thai experience, having enjoyed dining in Thailand several years ago. We waited a long time to be served but staff were polite and efficient - it was a busy night with 80% of tables occupied. The food was well presented and tasty. We ordered a green curry and Pad Thai - both 'hot'. The curry was very sweet. My partner enjoyed the Pad Thai. I was a little disappointed in the food but overall it was a pleasant night out.
