The 4 of us had lunch at this place. The place is specious and can host quite a few people. The menus offers a few breakfast dishes and few much/ dinner options. It looks like the focus is around fresh and lite rather then “heavy” dishes. My fish came as a cold salad and while it was refreshing, I didn’t think it was great. The other dishes: salad, steak sandwich and egg Benedict were all somehow lite as well. The big thing about this place are the deserts and they have quite a few of them. They look great and this in the group that tried them seemed to enjoy it. Service was good and all in all, a nice place.

If you're a diabetic - don't bother. One desert choice and it's not very nice. Stodgy and close to tasteless. I've made better deserts at home. Staff were great, atmosphere was good, I thought the prices were reasonable for a specialised restaurant, and the other diners just loved their deserts. Thought I'd hit gold with a restaurant that actually serves a diabetic desert... sorry but very disappointing.

This long standing restaurant is a classic in Christchurch and holds its standards year after year. Mainly a dessert restaurant with good, filling portion sizes (has a selection of mains too). Desserts cater to all types of palates and dietary requirements without compromising on taste or presentation

Food tastes ok, but very small serving for a $40 meal. Had to buy garlic bread and butter it ourselves. Perhaps lower the price or provide more food for the money. Burger king next door, so always can top up there.... Mike

Superb menu and sublime desserts. Friendly, fun staff. Definitely recommend. Was staying at the Carlton next door and had breakfast here as well - really good.
