Hi I know this isn't normal but some records have to set straight, this isn't just my families business and my livelihood . It's others too within the store who have put their heart & sole & one over 30 years into it. For nearly 20years at Werribee we have been serving you to keep your passion of cycling going Sadly when you are working in a store you run a fine line, yes people want to be served promptly. But also people want respect to feel they are someone not just a number or a quick sale and move on. And yes their maybe times staff may have a quick conversation about something that isn't about bikes, we are all human and we don't just eat and breath bicycles. A little patience goes a long way, we have elderly customers that come in with a bike issue. They may want a short chat but you know what, that short chat made their day. And you made a difference and that's what life is all about isn't. Please ignore this Lemon Tree issue , and by the way because of what this lady told me about Lemon Tree's mine is going really well now thanks heaps to her. How sad to here such a comment, so disrespectful to me and the lady involved. And Sant Ram you called and asked if we had racks in stock, no size was discussed on your part. When you arrived in stock you needed a 24'' rack we had everything else except for that, we offered to get it by the next day. The Managers wife was very friendly & helpful. All seemed well then you put this on here which was a complete surprise to her. If we have ever done something not to your liking or you aren't happy say something isn't working right were happy to help. Just mention it to us, and we'll do our best to make things right this type of sniping is really bad educate and no called for at all. Due to we have to my knowledge never done anything intentional to anyone, I was always told by my elders in business do your best by all so you can go to sleep without conscience which I have always lived by.
Although wanting to originally visit the Footscray store, we discovered that the excellent service mechanic they had was now based in Werribee. So we called the Werribee store to check on cost of repair, and also for stock availability and price on a product we required. The item was in stock and the price was reasonable so we made our way to Werribee that afternoon. Our item for repair was processed, but when we went to purchase the item they had in stock, the salesperson had made a mistake with the price. It was $20 more. I was not happy with this and asked him for a discount on the price. He offered the excuse that the manager wasn't there and he couldn't do anything on the price. I suggested he call the manager, but he really wasn't prepared to be of any help. Not even offer a small discount of $5 or $10 for his mistake. I explained we drove a half hour to come specifically to this store, particularly because of the item he confirmed he had in stock for the price he quoted to me over the phone. Subject to the condition of our repair item, which should be ready tomorrow, we will only visit this store again for service repairs. The customer service I received was poor, to say the least. Little did he know that I am in the market for a bike, and a child seat, helmets, accessories etc. I will not be giving them my business. You know, a small gesture of even a $5 discount would have made me happy. Big mistake.
Wonder how many people leave 1-star reviews. Staff was always friendly and professional to me. Serviced my road bike couple of times at that place with the reasonable price, no problems at all. Always used to call back when the bike is finished. No waste of time at all.
Can't praise them enough. Spent ages with me helping to make the right choice of bike. Also extremely helpful with selecting shoes and adding the cleats. Bike has been back several times for minor adjustments and it has never been too much trouble for them even when busy. Obviously keen cyclists themselves.
What a complete waste of my time! Got there and there was a man behind counter talking to old woman who obviously wasnt there to shop for bike or repairs. I stood there holding my bicycle wheel for 3 mins while they talked s*&% about how to grow a LEMON TREE! And then he looked up and said, 'Sorry mate, just a minute'. And then continue talking crap about LEMON TREE! I walked out and gave the man a sour face befitting of their IMPORTANT TOPIC! DISGUSTING SERVICE! DON'T BOTHER!
I recently purchased a vintage style bike from Ted's Cycles and am very happy with purchase and customer service. I'm sorry to see the Werribee store is closing down after 20 years service :
Bad shop bad bikes
