Sorry guys, but your ordering system is garbage. I placed an order at 5:20pm on Friday afternoon for a tripod that was in stock. I paid via PayPal, and asked my girlfriend to pop down to the store to collect. She popped in at 7pm with a copy of the confirmation, and was told she couldn't pick it up yet, and would "need to wait 24 hours", despite the fact the item was in stock (and sitting on the service counter), and the order was paid in full, and she had the order confirmation. The service agent said we would receive a follow up email within the next 24 hours confirming the order is ready for collection. My partner left empty handed. Friday turned to Saturday, which turned to Sunday. Still no follow up email. My girlfriend called the store at 10am and asked if the order was ready to collect. She spoke with a John, who said the order was not ready yet. My girlfriend got quite annoyed with him. John asked us to come down to the store with the confirmation, and said we "should" be able to work it out. I came into the store at about 11am with my partner and met with John. I showed John the confirmation on my phone, and gave him my licence to copy. He then nearly handed me the wrong product. My girlfriend pointed it out, and handed him the correct product off the service counter in front of him. We got the tripod and left. Laughably, I got my confirmation by text at 4:30pm this afternoon, 5+ hours after I had already collected. I am a bit perplexed by the function of your business. How does it take 48 hours to get an order ready for something that is in stock and paid for? The service agent on Friday suggested there was a waiting period due to reconciliation times with payment. I too work in retail, how does it take 24+ hours for a PayPal payment to reconcile? And even if it hasn't reconciled into your account by the time the customer has collected, a national chain like yourselves should certainly have merchant protection. Though I didn't question it in store, why did you need to take a copy of my drivers licence, and how is that ethical? You already have all of my details online from my purchase, not to mention again, you should have protection with PayPal. Going beyond sighting my drivers licence, and actually taking a photocopy seems like a bit of an invasion of privacy. I'm quite surprised. You guys are a national chain. You have 20+ branches. How are you guys operating like it's still 2004? I bought from you simply for convenience. I avoided shopping online (and getting a cheaper price) simply because I was looking for a quick and convenient shopping experience. You already have stiff competition out there with so many online retailers offering superior pricing, and now seemingly superior service. All of us in retail are going to have to be on our game when Amazon picks up. You've gotta do better than this.

I would like to commend Tania. She has served me for many years. She is always approachable, engaging and polite. She has given me great advice throughout my purchases over time. She recently handled my gopro issue. The go pro support line was doing my head in; so i took the issue to Tania and she dealt with the situation swiftly and got me a replacement within a week. The body language i get from her is that she enjoys her job and she enjoys customer interaction. Massive thumbs up to Tania for her consistent high level of customer service that i have come to know throughout my time visiting Teds Knox. She simply has time for you! Anthony Schnerring

If you find the right person, they are quite knowledgeable and informative on digital cameras and accessories. Ask the salesperson their experience, as they are a multi talented bunch, and someone might be experienced in storage cards, another in one brand of camera, another in lenses, the list goes on.

Awesomely priced. Great service from Tania. She looked after me and I ended up buying 2 extra items that I wasn't planning on due to her excellent customer service. The place is usually quite pleasant to go to. Would love it if they got a little more variety but overall 5/5.

I have spent over $7000 on cameras (Nikon D810), lenses, etc. at Ted's at Knox City shopping centre during the past 18 months or so. Had OK service (wouldn't say great). Today went to checkout Lumix TZ110 and wanted to check how it worked with the Android app. I didn't get the service one would expect. The sales lady said that the camera was a display model and could not connect to wifi, etc. What a load of BS. I can get the same camera for $620 from online vendors but if I am to spend $890 at Ted's I should be able to try out at least some basic features before I buy. Guess Ted's staff is not interested in my $ anymore. Their loss, not mine. 😏 Wouldn't be going to Ted's anymore.
