New fit out but same old crappy service. The buy 2 second the second pair half price racks are full of cloths that don’t get the discount. You only find this out when you get to the counter. No I don’t want to be a member and no I don’t want to donate to a charity. Im here to buy two tee shirts that advertise as buy 2 get the second half price! But no you cant even get your sales right. Lost me as a customer for life
I had a disappointing experience at Rebel Sport Knox that I usually wouldn’t feel the need to share, but I believe this one deserves to be addressed - particularly involving a staff member named Grace.nnI was waiting for assistance with netball shoes while she was helping another customer, which I completely understand. However, despite clearly seeing me waiting multiple times, she didn’t acknowledge me. When she eventually finished, she looked at me and said, rather abruptly, “Do you need something?”nnI explained I needed help with netball shoes, but instead of assisting, she said she had to pack up the previous customer’s shoes first - which took quite a while. When she returned, I asked what options they had in size 10. She wasn’t able to access the store system and instead came back with just one random pair. When I asked if that was all they had, she replied, “No, I just grabbed a random pair,” and walked off to serve someone else.nnI waited again for another 10 minutes, trying to manage my toddler in a pram, but was ignored. At that point, I asked for her name and left. I then went to ASICS directly across from Rebel, where I received excellent service and found what I needed quickly.nnShopping with a small child is already challenging, and this level of poor customer service made it far more stressful than necessary. This staff member would really benefit from some customer service training.
Not sure what has happened to the customer service in Rebel Knox. The counter staff appeared tired and disengaged, and there was little sign of warmth or welcome. During my visit, I hardly saw any staff smiling, which was a great contrast to my previous experiences at Rebel stores.
Walked in with my hubby mid morning on 10/10/25 with the intention of buying him a pair of black & white asics sneakers we'd looked at online.. we went straight to the back of the store where the mens sneakers are, after looking at them a minute we were approached by a young lady asking if we needed any help- she wore a light blue jumper & black shorts.. but no name tag, lanyard, nothing at all to identify her as an employee.. confused, we declined politely, then looked at each other in amusement- was this just a fellow customer..?nA minute later another young lady wearing the very identifiable black Rebel uniform top with a badge came up & offered help, to which we were much more comfortable accepting.. after having the usual problems with finding a Size 14 in the mens sneakers, we finally found a pair that had them in stock & purchased them on our way out.. in a store where customers wander around & either have to flag down or are approached by employees.. For staff to not be wearing the entire uniform is odd, & not a professional look..
Friendly and helpful staff.nIt has a basketball and soccer room to test out some gears.nIt also has a shoe recycling bin.nThe change rooms are huge with many mirrors and different lighting for you to test out the activewear.
