Good range of casual, business and formal gear. I experienced great service where the staff cared about what I needed. They went above just flogging product and steamed a new shirt for me and made sure I got the trousers adjusted. It was thoughtful without been stuffy. They were also able to leverage some specials and ensure I got a great price for the look I needed. I would have spent twice as much in other stores. Good, value, good product and good service. They got it right for me.
1/2: I bought 8 shirts initially during the Black Friday online sale, all of which are the exact same size. Four were a good fit whereas the other four were not. Finding this quite perplexing, I went to the Collins St store for an exchange and also to enquire about the reason for the inconsistency. The presumably store manager took a look at my invoice and with a smirk on his face, told me my expectations were too high considering what I paid for the shirts. His exact words were if I wanted shirts that fit, I was better off getting custom made shirts. In other words, you get what you pay for. Totally shocked by his response as here was a guy that was bagging his own brand. Is it too much to ask for consistency considering they were all the same size? He refused to exchange my shirts in store despite what it says online because they were too cheap. A refund was the only given option. 2/2: I obviously did not learn my lesson as I went online and bought another 3 shirts as I figured perhaps it had to do with the shirt type - stretch vs. non-iron etc. Three weeks on, nothing has been received. Emailed customer service and was told that I had to wait four weeks before the items can be declared as lost in transit and only then will I be advised on next steps. It is now four weeks and they finally told me that the shirts can either be re-sent or a refund offered. Complete waste of my time and absolutely never ever again. The store manager was right the first time - you do get what you pay for.
The clothing is good. Always good. But it’s the service and follow up that really makes these guys professionals. Every time it’s a fun and exciting experience. With staff that really know their trade and teach what they know rather than belittle and try to be ‘cool’, it’s in my top 2 for Australian facing menswear retailers.
I visited recently while attending a wedding in Melbourne and was suitably impressed. The service was exceptional and second to none. The team member who assisted me was professional and friendly, listened to what I wanted, and provided excellent advice and assistance. I was quite happy with the price and glad I made the effort to walk into the city to the store.
I was in Melbourne for the weekend and needed to purchase a belt for a function that evening. Great variety and fairly priced made for quick and easy transaction. I must also add that I returned the next day to exchange my belt for next size up with no hassle at all. Great service friendly staff.
Went over to this store rather than the one at emporium because of the positive customer service reviews, and I wasn’t disappointed. All the customers were dressy and I was the only one with casual street wear and a bag so I wasn’t expecting any attention. However I was approached and my questions were all answered. The staff took his time to really try to give me genuine advice on their products and styles. He was very professional and extremely helpful going above and beyond what I initially asked of him. They have ‘try’ shirts that allow you to size up to your preferred fit. Their shirts are probably the ONLY shirts that look good for my body type and will definitely be returning.
Exceptional service from the team in regards to an upcoming event that I had no outfit for. Selina was very helpfully in providing a shirt and tie and gave an honest opinion which means they have the best intentions for you and not just trying to make a sale. A very happy customer!!
Was in a rush to get a suit. Third TM suit in my collection now, not sure you can find the same quality at a similar price point. Staff were friendly, welcoming, professional and above all incredibly helpful with decisions and suggestions. It felt like their priority was to provide me with a great suit above making money off me. Greatly appreciated the teams efforts.
Guess it may depend who you get, but I just rushed in after forgetting my business shirt and got fantastic service from Denis. Quick quality fitting, for a good cheap shirt all I needed and wanted, with great service throughout. I think I've found my new regular menswear store.
First class customer service. While they are salesman, you will have a perfectly fitted shirt after coming out of this store. Products worth the investment, especially with the multi-buy offers. Pure cotton but the good kind which doesn't crease all the time.
