I've just ordered at least my 50th sushi platter from this place since discovering them during the COVID lockdown, and they continue to impress. I would rate their sushi at a solid 7.5, but the value is a remarkable 9! Ordering online is a breeze, and they offer a great variety.nnHowever, be warned: picking up your order can be quite dangerous for your wallet. You'll have to pass by their enticing Japanese groceries, filled with tempting side dishes like seaweed, octopus, and scallops. And if you get near their freezer section, good luck resisting the urge to grab a bunch of mochis for dessert!nnOverall, it's a fantastic takeaway option with quality sushi and excellent value. Highly recommended!
The Sushi in this unassuming strip shop in Camberwell is absolutely fantastic!! Hands down, the best I’ve had in Melbourne, so fresh! I’ve had it numerous times, and it’s always up to muster. There is also a small Japanese supermarket attached with lots to try.
Fantastic selection of sushi, sashimi etc. tastes great, well priced. Very friendly staff, must try!! Oh they also have a store section that sells all things Japanese e.g sauces, rice, biscuits and lots more
I visit Suzuran on a weekly basis to grab a bottle of sake and a portion of salmon or kingfish or tuna sashimi. We enjoy the best sashimi and sake for our Friday night knock-offs every week, thanks to Suzuran! Their sashimi is the best I’ve found in Melbourne. They stock so many other amazing Japanese groceries and the staff are the loveliest people. Their sushi bar is worth a visit too - delicious and made fresh. They also do bigger platters for parties etc.
Great old neighbourhood spot that has a fantastic, reliably good and well priced sushi takeaway. One of the best in Melbourne - always tastes super fresh. Also generous portions of fish.nnGreat place to order a sushi platter as well for your picnics and birthdays.nnStop by for Japanese groceries too. They have a great selection, including frozen dishes takoyaki, unagi, tempura, croquettes, alcohol, seasoning etc.nnHope Suzuran can stick around for a long time. They are so so good.
