The food is okay. I find it isn’t fresh enough. Tastes like it’s been sitting in a fridge all day, which it had been. Also although it was in a fridge the salmon bento box wasn’t cold it was room temperature which is very concerning. The grilled salmon nigiri was nice but was very overpriced at $3 a piece! Also they charged me a eftpos surcharge without telling me! My total was $26.18 for a salmon bento box and 2 salmon nigiri
The sushi is substantially more expensive than other sushi places at Chermside. The rolls are also smaller and less fresh than the cheaper places. $4 for an avocado roll is eye-watering when you consider the previous points.
I'm a regular here and used to RAVE about the food. But I almost can't stand it anymore. Hand rolls always seem old and tempura pancakes are super doughy and raw these days. It has been declining for a few months now. Service is always good though.
The sushi wasn’t cold, room temp at best. I got food poisoning from this place and was so sick my face bruised from throwing up so much it was honestly traumatising and after discussing it with coworkers they have also said the sushi is never cold, the chicken tastes odd and the rice smells off.
Used to be good but my biggest concern with this shop is that the sushi rolls are rarely cool, let alone cold. Their sushi rolls are almost always close to room temperature and that makes me nervous especially since many of their rolls contain raw fish, chicken and meat. The sashimi fridge looks more likely to have cold meals, but not sure. The price is okay but for some reason I have an allergic reaction to their sushi that I get at some other Sushi places. I am not sure what triggers it but I just know I can’t eat their sushi because my throat closes up and I struggle to breathe!!! Probably rare but mentioning it just in case someone has a similar reaction? They have brown rice sushi roll options which I think is great as long as the mix that they use for the sushi rice is healthy too.
Sushi was nasty lacked flavour, freshness & taste very overpriced I bought 5 things for $35 could of got kfc family meal for the same price.
“Can you please clean the tables?” Umm, I’ll do it later… Rude untrained staff that are not aware of their surroundings… Especially the dirty tables that no one seemed to care about… How much was that refit?
Used to be better. It's still alright but with several other options available in Chermside I'll usually go elsewhere.
Inflation aside, this place is expensive and not good value. I also found an unexpected tap fee. Doubly disappointed.
When you have so many competitors in a shopping centre, you would expect freshness. The sushi rolls were anything but fresh, which resulted in us both having food poisoning from the salmon sushi rolls. We won't be eating at this sushi again. The walk to the other end of the other end of the shopping centre for fresh sushi is well worth it. It's a shame.
